A recently uploaded YouTube video shows that Syrian rebels apparently have access to some armored vehicles which they use against government forces. In the video, uploaded by the Free Syrian Army, a group of fighters is attacking Bustan ad-Divan checkpoint in the city of Homs using a Soviet-made BMP, an infantry fighting vehicle that is equipped with a cannon. The vehicle presumably was captured from the government forces or acquired from army defectors. The Free Syrian Army is the main opposition army group in Syria. The body claims it almost exclusively consists of those who defected from government forces. The regime of Syria’s President Bashar Assad has been under harsh criticism for using military forces in crackdown on protesters. But Assad says it is “terrorist gangs” his military are fighting with. Last week Russia vetoed a UN Security Council resolution on Syria citing an unbalanced approach. Moscow explained that the resolution draft imposed sanctions on the Assad’s forces, but did not deal with violence on the opposition's part. Nice and all but how did that 2nd dude to run up to the tank get the bright idea to blind-fire a machinegun in a crowded area.
Actually looks like a BTR-60 instead of a BMP, as BMP have tracks and a bigger gun. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BTR-60 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BMP-3 EDIT: Scratch that it's a BMP.
That guy reminds me of 90% of Call of duty players.
That guy reminds me of 90% of Call of duty players.
My brother's son in law I swear to god will try to no-scope a sniper rifle one day and crack himself in the eye with the scope.
You can clearly see this DOES have tracks?
I can't watch the video. Dial up. Help me please fuck dial up.
Hopefully the tide turns in the FSA's favor. Or a country could help them.

From behind it looks like it has a BTR shaped turret and gun, and it kinda looks like tires but honestly could not be made out. Then again I just realized it can't be a BTR because BTR's don't have rear facing exit doors, they're on the sides in BTR's. You think it's an export version, basically the same thing but with smaller armaments, because that turret looks like it was swapped from a BTR.

Also, looking at it now, I think it''s actually damaged. The wheels on the visible right track seem dislocated. You can also see the mudguards are pretty much destroyed. It might be a piece they disabled using an explosive on the street and the government forces abandoned it. Or it's damage from confronting the government forces.
BTR is tall.
Nice and all but how did that 2nd dude to run up to the tank get the bright idea to blind-fire a machinegun in a crowded area.
im like 99% sure that anybody on the street that the BMP is shooting down is dead, dying, or in combat any civilians caught in the crossfire are just as likely to get hit by the guy blindfiring the machine gun as they would from the security forces shooting back
At least they have some vehicles to use
the U.N should support Syrian rebels, they need the help.
how big a killstreak did they need?
how big a killstreak did they need?
Zero just a lucky hit to the tracks
