if it is true all the consumers "going green" won't do shit (though it is good to use less resources). The majority of truly harmful gasses comes from the huge meat industry. Until people stop eating so many burgers the world is just going to get hotter, oh right I forgot a couple of scientists screwed up on some data and its rly RLY cold this year so global warming must not exist :downs:

Nice dailymail source compared to this-
Need some sources? Here is a list of professional sources. *Bigass list of sources*

you're kidding yourself if you think anybody will read that
Of course none of you will, because you'd all rather be spoon fed information from one media source rather than read the actual research. This is why people still believe there is no global warming, when CLEARLY there is an insane amount of research disagreeing with that.
Why did you say "you?" I'm not with them, cabron
I guess that's cool
Finally, now can we please stop persuing electric vehicles and get back to nice meaty V12 petrol engines.
Until we all run out of fuel.

People have a right to dispute Global Warming especially with the whole climate gate crap. Right or not scientist dug them self's a hole and have pay for it. Remember: correlation does not imply causation and it took forever to prove cigarettes were harmful and data for that was a lot easier to get. Don't except everyone to agree with you especially on a topic like this.

What the eff? Is this a :foxnews: post or something? Global Warming isn't the popular term these days. In fact, global warming hasn't been the popular term for a few years now. Climate change is the correct term. Climate change is the term used to explain how in some places the Earth will get warmer, while in others the Earth will get cooler. Climate change shows basically that we are affecting the climate with our pollution and carbon. Besides, doesn't the end justify the means? Who the fuck cares if it there is or isn't global warming, let's fucking clean up the planet. I'm tired of not seeing the Sierra mountains that are only 30 miles away because of all the fucking smog in Sacramento.
lankist is edgy cause he makes people feel so bad they stop using electricity to power their computers hes cool

Correlation does often imply cause! Cigarettes were easily proven bad for you when suddenly everyone who smoked started getting lung cancer. This was done via correlation.
“unequivocal"
the fuck does that mean.
Global Warming my asshole... It's fucking been in the 20s all week in Georgia... And it was snowed in 49 states within the past week...
You guys are morons plain and simple. "Oh I told you so?" This doesn't refute anything. Glaciers ARE disappearing. Here in Minnesota it snows less and less every year. 95% of scientists DO believe climate change is occurring. The sea levels ARE rising. You are all being tricked by the bullshit of pseudoscience, where corporations pay scientists to generate bullshit statistics that make their case look better. The same thing happened in the 1700s when scientists claimed whites were superior simply because of the shape of the skull and the correlation to education background. Blacks couldn't get education, how good is that? Is this graph that hard to understand? So the UN fucks up (How is that newsworthy anyways?) and suddenly a gigantic scientific theory that has tons of data supporting it is invalid? Come on! Use common sense!
That graph is just extremely misleading.
Are we done here?
I don't really care if Global Warming is real or not because if it was real, it's not up to the general public to stop it. The general public can't control if majorly polluting industry / power plants are built, if companies continue to destroy rain forests. etc... For those who are thinking 'well maybe you could turn off your lights during the day or stop driving' that wouldn't help because you aren't forced to do it; others will continue to waste energy regardless. It pisses me off when commercials say 'hurr durr reduce carbon footprint derp stop making CO2'.
What really annoys me when Goverments try to guilt trip us into making these changes. While it's happening (or not, i'm crap at science) it's wrong to try put that blame on us when they regulate the industry. Even if humans arn't causing global warming we still need to tone down the air pollution air is getting stale and brown
Al Gore, brilliant schemer.
He just wanted a Nobel Peace Prize.
By updating their climate models on tree rings? We better keep an eye on those evil scientists!!
Ah, but they left out trees from Russia that showed cooling.
Al Gore, brilliant schemer.
Give him a break. He did invent the internet after all.
Ah, but they left out trees from Russia that showed cooling.
Source? IIRC, trees are only good for telling changes in weather and not climate.
~snip and paste~ got Mark's Source! http://www.ocregister.com/articles/-234092--.html
Russia-Gate II – Speaking of Russia, a presentation last October to the Geological Society of America showed how tree-ring data from Russia indicated cooling after 1961, but was deceptively truncated and only artfully discussed in IPCC publications. Well, at least the tree-ring data made it into the IPCC report, albeit disguised and misrepresented.
That's because we're coming out of a fucking El Nino. Changes in Ocean temperature are causing global temperatures to fall slightly. This is a commonly know phenomenon. Even the fucking climate change deniers accept that. [editline]03:19AM[/editline]
Shall we play "Battle of the Graphs?"
