YouTube Is Sending Copyright Offenders Back to School

Holy shit, it's like they intentionally wanted to draw attention to how fucked modern copyright law is.
Imma gonna flag this for copyright.
I can understand them not wanting users to upload TV shows, movies, or even CD's without any original content in them, but they've taken it a bit far. I've seen things go down that really shouldn't have, and honestly? I think it needs to be taken into account who these videos are coming from and what market they're intended for. Most youtube channels aren't run by some large corporation, and don't have the same resources, nor are they intended to compete in the same way. Why should they be treated the same?
WINNING IDEA!
We flag this video for copyright, EVERYONE HERE.

I don't see how the copyright laws are fucked, they are perfectly fine and reasonable (I'm talking about the laws themselves not the companies enforcing them).
Actually.. using a tiny snippet of someone else's work constitutes "fair use". I've no idea what's stopping people snipping one second off a video and claiming it's not the entire work but only a portion.
Keep telling yourself that.
The only reason that they allow a hack RWJ to do it is because he makes Youtube money. The little guys don't make Youtube money, on the contrary, it costs them money for bandwidth and possible lawsuits related to copyrighted content.
So that means RWJ should watch this Right?
no he is a partner
Seems the video got more dislikes, btw its legal to download music and videos in holland.
So how about NO, Youtube?

Russel sounds like Mario at 0:57 and 1:24
I remember a funny little thing which happened during an Run through of Final Fantasy X.
The group were reuploading all the videos since they had the right to go over 15 minutes per video. On the last episode their account was frozen by the claim that they used content from an Italian Plumbing or Electrical company.
The claim was refuted however they did not get back their rights to upload videos over 15 minutes.
What I am saying is, is that Youtube has shit policies on copyright which are horribly enforced in ways that don't even follow their own rules, made only worse by their automated system.
Are you serious YouTube? That fucking show sucks dick. It had its reason to be pulled off TV. Its sick and it sucks.
And this, ladies and gentlemen, is why we need to find a site that isn't Youtube - Google Is Watching You edition.

Easier said than done.
Nope, remixes DO NOT require the authors permission, hence how weird al, and dj's can do what they do.
Youtube doesn't even know the copyright laws
as long as it's fair use
which they say
watch the video before commenting
Didn't Virgin claim copyright on Meet the Sniper too?
