Thanks. Though you didn't really need to point that out.
just pointing out the idiocy of a statement like that
Poor girl
build a wall around detroit and set the city on fire [editline]10:24PM[/editline] yeah, a police officer fatally shooting a 7 year old.. no big deal.
It was the woman's fault you stupid fuck. Betcha she will play the race card in a few days.
:geno:
It was the woman's fault you stupid fuck.
according to police
Accidents happen. Get over it.
Ok when you're going to get into a situation where a family member of yours is accidentally killed, you're not going to be saying "Accidents happen. Get over it."
according to police
Yes, but the family is telling quite an extreme story. "I saw dem shoot my daughter right in front of my eyes"
according to police
And a witness.
And a witness.
where does it say a non police officer witnessed the shooting?
where does it say a non police officer witnessed the shooting?
"According to our officers and at least one independent witness, the officers announced themselves as police officers before going in," Godbee said.
Yes, but the family is telling quite an extreme story. "I saw dem shoot my daughter right in front of my eyes"
uh, that's what happened.. [editline]10:54PM[/editline]
"According to our officers and at least one independent witness, the officers announced themselves as police officers before going in," Godbee said.
yeah, a witness heard them announce that they were police officers.. that doesn't = witnessing the shooting
Yes, but the family is telling quite an extreme story. "I saw dem shoot my daughter right in front of my eyes"
It's not extreme it's the truth.
Accidents happen. Get over it.
You see your dad get killed by a speeding car right in front of your eyes and you see his mashed up body and his brain matter smudged all over the asphalt and hood of the car. "It's an accident, get over it," says people at your school. "Yeah, I guess you're right," says you.
yeah, a witness heard them announce that they were police officers.. that doesn't = witnessing the shooting
Hardly noticed that, sorry.
uh, that's what happened.. [editline]10:54PM[/editline] yeah, a witness heard them announce that they were police officers.. that doesn't = witnessing the shooting
She makes it sound completely intentional, which it probably wasn't.
She makes it sound completely intentional, which it probably wasn't.
I don't see her implying it was intentional at all in that quote.. she simply said what happened.
I don't see her implying it was intentional at all in that quote.. she simply said what happened.
"I saw them shoot her right in front of me" just sounds to me like she's saying they intentionally did it. I dunno, that's just my perspective.
What's more interesting to me is why Police would go into a home with their safety's off without even knowing if anyone inside was armed.
"I saw them shoot her right in front of me" just sounds to me like she's saying they intentionally did it. I dunno, that's just my perspective.
Agreed. And yes, shit does happen. Of course if my dad got hit by a car right in front of me and people told me "get over it, shit happens" then I'd probably stab them, but that doesn't take away from the fact that stuff like this, and ten times worse happens every day.
What's more interesting to me is why Police would go into a home with their safety's off without even knowing if anyone inside was armed.
why the fuck would they have their safety on
why the fuck would they have their safety on
Agreed, if they go in and people have guns drawn, I don't think they'd have the chance to turn safety off.
And it's things like this that hurt police PR with inner-city neighborhoods.
 and
It's Detriot, that's what happens if you're black here.
goddamn. the cop shot a little kid in the head and "blew her brains out" cop suicide is coming
It really isn't. It's the same as those two reporters who were killed in Iraq. Yeah, sure it's sad. But stuff like this happens everyday. By tomorrow, you'll forget the entire story, except for the title. Lives are lost all the time due to wars, human negligence and human action, accidents, whether it be a car accident, plane, train, bicycle, whatever. These things happen.
Guy kills your whole family. Police- "Sorry but things happen".
I'd hate to be the cop, he killed a little girl. I'd hate to be one of the grandparents, they "let" a little girl die. I'd hate to be the parents, their daughter died. I'd hate to be the girl, she is dead. There really isn't any winners when killing little girls :(
"These things happen often so it's not a big deal." Identity, 2010
An insensitive statement which doesn't really have any purpose to be made, but it has occurred to me that too many FPers here take sad news stories personally when they have nothing to do with them and don't affect them in any way. I half-expected a surge of "OMG they should shoot him too, so he can see what it feels like!" posts. That being said, the accident is inexcusable, and I hope the cop who discharged their weapon is removed from the force or at least suspended for a period of time. Sure we could all cry out for his blood, but it's not gonna bring the little girl back. [editline]11:10AM[/editline]
goddamn. the cop shot a little kid in the head and "blew her brains out" cop suicide is coming
Yeah, I imagine that would be extremely difficult to live with.
She grabed for his gun BANG BANG bitch!!
She seen it.
Oh god why did I laugh at that.
