What movie is that from?
Group A says one thing, possibly in an attempt to cover its own back
Group B says another thing, possibly in an attempt to gain attention or monetary gain
I hope you see the point I'm trying to make here - this whole case is completely subjective and its likely that we'll never know what truly happened, but we're all gonna blame the police anyway since them fuckin' pigs are fuckin' dumb, trigger happy morons

logically the police would cover their own asses.. there was another case I read about where an homeowner held an intruder at gun point and the police came in and shot the HOMEOWNER SIX times.
they IMMEDIATELY began covering it up.. one officer was recorded saying, "I fucked up" to his sgt. and the sgt. said something like, "Don't worry. I got your back."
no one is saying hurr fuck the police
they need to be held accountable for their actions
stun grenade into your house
they break down the door
yeah i'd jump on him too
...That is the illogical idea, if someone had a STUN GRENADE, they would most likely be armed and have armor.
Why would you DARE attack someone like that?
Picture this:
You're sleeping, when out of fucking nowhere a stun grenade goes off in your house. Then you hear your door being kicked in. My first thought in this situation would be "Holy fuck am I dreaming?" followed by "OH SHIT SOMEONE JUST BROKE INTO MY HOUSE!" The police caused the chaotic situation here and it was their responsibility to control it, which they failed to do.
You forgot about the part where they announced that they were the police before they entered the house.

You'd probably be too busy curled up in a ball in a puddle of your own excrement.
no one is saying hurr fuck the police
Except you.
You forgot about the part where they announced that they were the police before they entered the house.
you forgot that these people were most likely sleeping at the time and were then disoriented by a stun grenade.

show me where I said fuck the police or even remotely implied something like that
show me where I said fuck the police or even remotely implied something like that
All your posts, you're saying just because they are the police everything they are saying is a lie, and you are taking the word of a crazy woman that attacked a police officer over theirs.

But there's no evidence to support that. No recordings, no interviews, nothing. Until there's more information, its not fair to draw such conclusions and assume that since its the police, they're probably trying to cover their own asses

1) I've never said everything they say is a lie
2) I'm not taking sides
anymore false assumptions you'd like to make?
I was being sarcastic, you twit
I know. I was too.

that's why I'm remaining neutral unlike many people in this thread who are blaming it on the "crazy" girl
I'm telling them to stop jumping to conclusions and automatically trusting the police

They're also trying to cover people's residences with brain matter
why did police use a stun grenade anyways? they knew children were inside.. completely unnecessary.

yeah, there actually is video/audio of the raid because they were recording for a TV show called "The First 48"
they're analyzing the film now

She assaulted a police officer, I don't know what else she would be.
I'm telling them to stop jumping to conclusions and automatically trusting the police
If that's what you were implying then I'm sorry. It just sounded like you were saying the police were responsible for what had happened, when it's not even fully clear what had happened yet. I guess I'm doing the same thing kind of too though. Whatever. Hopefully someone will learn something from what mistakes were made here.
She assaulted a police officer, I don't know what else she would be.
you don't know that.
they may have just run into each other. a stun grenade disorients people and thus it wouldn't be surprising if she accidentally ran into one of the officers. a flashbang blinds and deafens people.

Yeah, I'd say at this point we shouldn't jump to conclusions, myself included. Something like that has to be hard to investigate though, since most everything is based on testimony. It's not like there's going to be a whole lot of physical evidence or a videotape or something.

there is video which they're reviewing now.. a camera crew for a TV show was at the raid.
I doubt they captured the actual shooting of the girl but there's still audio too that they can use to determine what happened.

Basically you summed up what I was trying to say. At this point, the case could be either way, and until there's more evidence, people should stop making obscene assumptions

Its ignorance like this that I'm talking about

Interesting, I did not know that.

This is pretty interesting:
Fieger said the video shows the shot that killed Aiyana Jones, 7, was fired within a "millisecond" of police tossing a flash grenade into the home. The device is sometimes used to momentarily distract or disorient potential targets of a raid. The grenade became the subject of criticism from some in the community today.

Interesting, I did not know that.

Wait, this is pretty interesting:

yep, attorney says the shot was fired IMMEDIATELY after the flashbang was thrown.
Looks like the popos are at fault then
The fact is the police overreact. If they weren't retarded they would have known there was a 7 year old in there and would have used a little more tact than lobbing a flash grenade and rolling up in there guns drawn.
It disgusts me that they are so aggressive when it comes to human lives, and they are the ones initiating the violence. Ugh

Okay so what should they have done then?
It's Detroit... The more important question here is why wasn't she wearing a kevelar vest?
