I bet it has to do with poverty maybe? Inequality in society leading to unequal living conditions meaning some people are more likely to catch the thing than others?
But...
The median household income of Filipino Americans is $74,983 (US Census Bureau, 2008a) and this is 25% more than the national average. The poverty rate of Filipino Americans is less than half that of the national total population.
If that's the case I don't understand the correlation with Filipinos
I live in AZ and got this when I was really young, apparently I still have a small marble sized lump of dormant valley fever spores somewhere in my lungs.
This seems like something straight out of the Stargate series.
Oh man, guys, I'm going to California this summer and now I'm terrified of getting my shit wrecked by fucking fungus.
posting from arizona fuck my life
I'm a bit unclear on how to get this. Is it from physical contact or through airborne substances? And if so, should I be weary to go outside since I live in southern California?
Quickly, dispose of the nano-machines for a cure!
This sounds kinda scary; thankfully the symptoms DON'T include having a mushroom emerge from the back of your head and release it's deadly spores into the air. Truly a horrible fungal infection; I hope they find a true cure for it soon.

Arizona Now i'm not sure if allergies or valley fever
I hate how life threatening diseases like this have common symptoms that cause them to be recognized too late.
That sounds awful; it makes me want to visit the doctor more regularly; especially when something isn't going away after a week or so.
The local news here in AZ doesn't really even care about this anymore. I remember it being a very big deal a few years ago, along with West Nile Virus and killer bees. Not saying this isn't dangerous, just that people are forgetting already.
Why/how/why in the fuck would you just "forget" about something terrible? It's a serious problem.
Arizona Now i'm not sure if allergies or valley fever
LOL YOUR SCREWED!!!!!!!!!!
