Punished David Cameron, denied by his homeland, sails down to the Lost Capricorns and is appointed Strayan PM by her majesty.
Well I just completed my election tradition of Voting seriously on the Green paper and writing a joke on the White (There's so much white space there, I can't resist) This year's feeble attempt at humor: I am the double dissolution killer, when will I strike again? [ ] 12 months [ ] 6 months [x] Before the next season of The Voice starts

I know Britain cancels votes if they have any identifying marks on them. Not too sure about Australia though.

Informal ballot papers are not counted towards any candidate but are set aside. According to section 268 of the Commonwealth Electoral Act (1918), a vote is informal if: - the ballot paper is not marked at all - the ballot paper does not have the official mark and has not been initialled by the polling official, and the ballot paper is not authentic in the opinion of the Divisional Returning Officer (DRO) - the ballot paper has writing on it which identifies the voter - in the case of an absent vote, the ballot paper is not contained in the declaration envelope - in the House of Representatives, the voter has not completed a full preferential vote - in the Senate, if the voter has not filled at least six boxes above the line or at least 12 boxes below the line - there are savings measures to keep formal some ballot papers marked incompletely or incorrectly. I voted for Liberal, But does labor even try in my local area? Not one person was in sight from labor or any other party and every single person going into the booth grabbed the piece of paper of the liberal rep's telling them how to vote this was the voting booth in the heart of surfers paradise.
Nah we don't want British cunts to lead us.
1/4th of your flag is the mating call of British cunts.
1/4th of your flag is the mating call of British cunts.
Yeah, but it was ours first. Then they became cunts
1/4th of your flag is the mating call of British cunts.
We keep it as a reminder of the shithole we left.
According to my dad, of the ~1050 residents he delivers mail to around 100 submitted postal votes. Didn't think it would be any where near that high.
Interesting factoid. A coworker's grandmother died during the pre-poll voting, but had sent her postal vote back 2 days before. Because it's too late to take anyone off the roll, and it was returned before election day, a dead person has technically voted, and it will count as formal.
I didn't know who to put 6 for the senate so I put on Aus health party and learned after that they're anti vaxxer. Shit.
Did you look at their wiki page to figure that out? Because only a few days ago their wiki page read like an advert until I removed their slogan from the ideology box and replaced with with their position :v:
I don't blame you or anyone else who does that. They really have a misleading party name.
That makes me feel a bit better, cheers

1hour ya yobbos!
Did you look at their wiki page to figure that out? Because only a few days ago their wiki page read like an advert until I removed their slogan from the ideology box and replaced with with their position :v:
Legit?
I was at the polling booth at 8 this morning so it was mostly old people. While waiting in line this fat bitch says "This is easy. First you go in and vote LNP, then you come out and get the goodies." Referring to the sausage sizzle. Absolutely pathetic.
I told them and landed up in an argument, which I decided just to leave it be - ended with her telling me 'we don't count after 6 or 12 anyway'. FFS.
Whoops, missed this one. I can categorically state that the electoral official who told you that is 100% wrong. Not only that, but if you had've brought it up with the OIC, they could've found themselves directing voters instead of issuing ballots. I will say that I recommend you call up the divisional office and complain about it, because it's a new method, I'm sure they'll want to know about any failings.
1hour ya yobbos! Legit?
I properly referenced it with an ABC article.
Why do people not pre poll, going on voting day is such a waste of time.
Why do people not pre poll, going on voting day is such a waste of time.
Pretty sure most of us don't qualify.

Yeah, I probably shouldn't be posting this, but one of my former co-workers OIC is aparrently trying to open a ballot box before the close, to get a dec vote out. And a scrutineer has showed up too. This is an easy way for an entire ballot box to be quarantined, and not included in the vote. Edit: Looks like she was talked out of doing it.
Whoops, missed this one. I can categorically state that the electoral official who told you that is 100% wrong. http://apps.aec.gov.au/eSearch/divisiondetailsNational.aspx
I'll report it on Monday, no point now. But I'm pretty sure they were the OIC. But I've heard from other people as well that the AEC wasn't training people properly in this.
But I've heard from other people as well that the AEC wasn't training people properly in this.
Were they in a yellow bib? Yeah, I've heard from a couple of my former co-workers that their polling day OIC was either inexperienced, or didn't remember their training. One of them even had to demonstrate how to fill in the declaration vote envelope to their OIC. A person who's getting paid several hundred dollars more than them, had to be told how to fill in a pretty self explanatory envelope.
