Think about it, you'd have an army capable of hiding in plain sight. An indistinguishable armada able to disguise as civilians. With the flick of a switch you could transform them into destructive wolf men.
Also most bullets aren't made of silver.

Well, they'd be super-vunerable to explosions, more so than regular infantry. Fragments would do little to stop them, but blastwaves that'd just knock a regular guy on his ass would blow 'em apart.

The guy he's aiming his gun at is more than likely an allied local police/militiaman. If he'd managed to get that close behind an insurgent's line he wouldn't be standing around taking pictures.
