Meth is locally produced like Marijuana. It's business sure, but it's exactly like Mexican brick weed, not really all the profitable in the long run.
Cocaine and Heroin are big business though(along with human trafficking). Put this into consideration: Back in 2009 a group of Pima County officers lead a massive drug bust in Arizona, and managed to capture two full semis packed to the brim with cocaine. The next morning the Mexican cartel sent pictures of those they beheaded for being responsible for the fuck up, and threatened to wage the drug war into Arizona.
Theirs a reason Joe Arapio has such a massive cult following in Arizona. Yes, he's a racist scumbag, but for what it was worth, he made damn sure those cartels never got to much headway in Arizona. It was sorta the reason Arizonians despises the federal government for pretty much up and fucking us over in the regards of the whole situation. We either have Arapio or some other racist scumbag dealing with them, or we get left to dry like a deer carcass by the federal administrations refusing to put more boots on the ground at the border.
