Would you rather be relatively poor in this system or absolutely destitute in a system where everyone's completely equal, except of course for whoever's in charge? There is no other permanent middle ground. It will slide one was or the other eventually.
lern2socialdemocracy
Care to answer?
Scorpio already did. And sorry having a hard time keeping up with all the posts people are throwing. Live in the world around you.
It's all I've ever read sorry.
Yes I do.
"yes i do" as in to the fact that this monopoly would be unstoppable pretty much and to the fact that the best people could really hope to is a return to the way it is now?
Yes I do.
and you're okay with this you're okay with the obvious glaring hole in your world view
Overall it is clear from the above evidence that threads like these have people who argue randomly. They use sweeping generalizations. Possessing a low IQ also contributes to this as such posters do not show basic cognitive functions. With the petty personal attacks and insults it is clear they are arguing for the sake of arguing. They have also been shown to possess little knowledge, merely barking out information that they were told by a retarded half parent or saw from a poster. It is true that they clearly lack intelligence and thus overall they argue in this method in order to attempt and prove their vast knowledge, where they actually manage the exact opposite effect and gain the appearance of baboons wildly hooting at each other and shitting on Persian rugs.
"yes i do" as in to the fact that this monopoly would be unstoppable pretty much?
How would the monopoly be unstoppable, if it became completely out of control people would move to other mediums. And that's only in the extremely rare event that a monopoly like this actually was able to survive without the manipulation of the government.
Strider, can you explain what you mean by "tax should only be for protecting the rights of society's citizens"? Surely, you agree that rights include health care and education.
I want a society where everyone is free and owns their own person as well as their production.
You are the token clueless libertarian. I've read some of the posts you have made within this topic, and you keep on regurgitating elementary economic and political ideas that have no basis in reality or current world events: Misrepresentation of history (dumb comparison of 80's to today, totally unfounded on actual statistics); trickle-down theory and the idea that the rich earn their way through effort and intelligence; Stockholm-like syndrome of adoring the rich and attacking others less fortunate for trying to better their lives; complete focus on individuality and un-regulated society and etc.. Basically, you finished reading "Atlas Shrugged" by Ayn Rand and that's what your political/economic philosophy revolves around. Please, educate yourself.
You have a right to your own life.. that does not mean a right to others services.
wow this post has already made me regret clicking on this thread i'm sure you're going on about how evil any kind of public service is and how the nazis were all communists and all of your shit

You're making a large generalization about my political and economic knowledge. Atlas Shrugged isn't even my favorite Ayn Rand novel and I already mentioned earlier that my favorite political theorist and economist is Milton Friedman not Rand. Either learn to read or educate yourself, fuckwit. The lines for phones, internet, among others are owned by a selective few who had the capital to invest in it. If the few companies that do own it were bought out, or conspired together, they would have the entire mass communications system by the throat.
why don't you actually adress the subject matter instead of reflexively backlashing against how "liberal" facepunch is for once in your dang posting career? How liberal everyone here is and how terrible it is that everyone here is liberal is all you ever post about. You never actually make any arguments or show that you have any understanding of whatever subject matter is at hand.
 I'm just getting pissed at facepunch's attitude towards capitalism, which is so confusing because if the real world teaches anything, its that communism only works in short burst, and China is pretty much a oliarchy. I don't hate the liberals, yes, I am a conservative. I'm not Glaber.

That would take massive cooperation and luck.
You have a right to your own life.. that does not mean a right to others services.
So, the rich, because they have the money, have the right to be educated, while those stinky poor people (who should know better than to be born poor)can't go to school and get jobs because they can't PAY for their EDUCATION. If that didn't make you realise that you are wrong, either stop trolling or seek treatment. Or explain yourself further, because I just don't understand. :psyduck:
Every post from whenever the argument can be summed up as thus: And probably every post after.
There is a lot more to it than that. That would take massive cooperation and luck.
because nobody is more alien to cooperation than a corporation
-Holy hell, there is a lot of examples, ignore-
So, the rich, because they have the money, have the right to be educated, while those stinky poor people should learn not to have been born poor, but they can't because they can't PAY for their EDUCATION. Education would be served better through private methods.
There is a lot more to it than that.
Like what? Don't give me statements if you don't have anything to back it with.
That would take massive cooperation and luck.
It doesn't take "massive" cooperation. It doesn't take luck. There are a few corporations who own the lines, if they were to conspire together they would be able to charge whatever they wish with little to no hope of competition, especially considering their increased capital would allow them to buy out the competition.
Keep goin' Strider, argue for the establishment and status quo on a forum entirely inhabited by high-schoolers and NEETS, keep going. It's making my day.
