What the fuck, this was in BioShock it self, which they fixed, yet they failed to do it for this one?
just go into the user .ini and set the fov manually. i like mine in the ~90
how does a problem like this occur consecutively from the same developer and same IP?

Because they were thinking out of their asses for the money they would get for bioshock 2.
what how the fucking hell did they WHATTT
i didn't even notice
It looks a tad bit off, but this good. Thank you, 2kgames.
Whoever did that screenshot mixed up the widescreen ratios. 16:9 is wider than 16:10.

2k Marin isn't Irrational Games, but I still see your point. It's ridiculous they overlooked this AGAIN.
i honestly did not notice any stretching so it couldn't have been that bad
The stretching at 1680x1050 pixellates any details and it's really offputting.
I didn't even notice.

No, neither is wider. Whoever made that screenshot set just fucked up in general. The "16" part of 16:9 and 16:10 refers to the horizontal width, not the vertical height. The only difference between 16:9 and 16:10 is that 16:10 is taller, just like it shows in the first picture. Don't know how they fucked up the second one.
Maybe the patch will extreme letterbox it for 16:10 people, causing MORE complaints because 2K can never get anything right. :v: Though as a former 16:10 user myself, I really hate it when developers fuck up 16:10 support. Even Valve does it; TF2 in 16:10 has cut off fonts and it's agitating.

I played at that resolution and I didn't notice a thing.
I've been playing at 1920x1080 and haven't really noticed much of an issue. Good to hear that they're at least fixing things that people are bitching about.
For those asking how this happened.
We always meant to have our FOV expand horizontally, but a last minute bug fix for a related issue changed this back to a vertical FOV just before ship. We feel rather silly about this, and agree that horizontal expansion is much more awesome, and that you'll have it very soon.
I think it's nice that they've come out and said "Oh fuck, sorry it was a mistake. We're fixing it."
glad a fix is on the way

It's wider in relation to it's height.
What about the crashes 2K?
What about the crashes 2K?
What crashes?
There's been a lot of people who have had crashing issues. Not to mention it's glitchy as hell. I've lost about 2-3 hours of gameplay last night because 1. Their autosave system is horrid and virtually non-existant and 2. The boss fight I'm in had the boss glitch OUTSIDE of the room. I tempted fate, saved, reloaded the save and he was back in the room but on a platform that you cannot reach. And if I kill him, I need to reach his body to get a key from him to continue the damn game.
Thanks 2K, awesome Q&A department! A+++ would play again!

Yes. I knew someone would point that out but didn't care to edit my post because it should be common sense.
