i've never seen avatar, and i don't plan on it :smug:
The most funny thing is that the mainstream burning programs happily announce that they are compatible with that DRM and gonna promptly provide you with a copy of the disk.
The DRM is COMPLETELY USELESS AGAIN
Avatar had a crap plot
STOP THE FUCKING PRESS
/capslololol
Why the fuck are they still trying?
[editline]11:30PM[/editline]
I mean, it's like trying to stop a tank by destroying the road in front of it. The tank can easily go around and only normal cars will have problems.
Does this really stop pirates at all?
DRM has NEVER been any good.
I don't condone piracty at all, but I can't see why media companies even bother.
DRM is the biggest failure and worst idea ever imagined.
DRM is acceptable and understandable up until the point where it starts annoying real customers in any way.
Updating firmware is easy, nearly everyone has an internet connection, but it's probably not hooked up to their blu-ray player. Since mine isn't hooked up to the net, I burned a cd with updated firmware on it and updated it that way. I keep it updated just in case a movie comes out that needs it, so I don't rage like these people who don't read manuals, or don't have computer skills.
DRM, a good idea that will never be good.
I'm all for preventing piracy, though DRM can't work. Ever. They should just stop.
What's wrong with piracy?
Avatar had a crap plot
Wrong. It had a recycled plot
DRM is acceptable and understandable up until the point where it starts annoying real customers in any way.
Which is all the time.

You shouldn't have to do that shit just to watch a fucking movie.

You're depriving hard working people the rightful rewards for their work.
The funny thing is, I looked up how to unlock my blu-ray player and it's just a simple matter of holding down a few buttons on the player and bam.
Next time include the upgrade on the disc, like it was on the psp.
Bunch of greedy fuckers
Am I the only one that noticed the typo in the title?
DRM fails every time.
You shouldn't have to do that shit just to watch a fucking movie.
I agree. Firmware doesn't come out that often though, so it's not like it has to be done all the time. Blame movie companies adding too many features to the disc.
Meanwhile, pirates get to watch it.
Wrong. It had a recycled plot
:smug: I saw what you did there. But you know, Col.Miles doesn't give a shit, but rather drink some coffee and get back to have dinner.

Something like that. Not really. In after some racism squabble posts.
What else is DRM coming to?
Shit. V2.

Also, no thank you Google Ads. I might think Pandora is real but then become depress and have suicidal thoughts because it's actually not real.
The marketing for this movie did well. But i still think it was terribly executed. As the user above showed a Google Ad.
I absolutely loved this movie, I know it may seem a bit mediocre. The plot was not the best, and yes recycled. But it was enjoyable, kind of reminds me of Star Wars. But more enjoyable, because it's not (and don't quote me on this) as Sci-fi plot wise. In a sense of it didn't focus on explaining the technology that much. More action and plot.
Anyways, Avatar. DRM and firmware problems. We see this with most huge releases of anything. As far as i know, they do put a warning at the start of the movie.
"When 3 out of 3 players in my house (Denon, Samsung and PC) won't play it, then 20th Century Fox should be slapped with losses on this one,"
Wait, since when did BluRay become available on PC?
You're depriving hard working people the rightful rewards for their work.
Yeah, I won't be providing them with rewards for their hard "work." Especially if their "work" is irritating the shit outa me to no end. DRM on movies, whats next? CD-keys on books?

Since like, 2+ years ago.

Has the price on them gone done yet? Last time I check the PS3 was the cheapest BluRay player, but I don't really care for "higher definition" videos, so I don't check the market.
