My opinion is that government should allow civil unions, which would give all the tax incentives of marriage, but it doesn't really have to be marriage.
So if the church takes offense to two guys saying they're married, they can just say "we're in a civil union"

Thing is though the government has a lot of religious people in it I'm assuming. Don't you have to take an oath of some sort to get into a government position? At least change is coming from the big guys now. Maybe it'll rub off onto other states. Gays are human beings too. Why should any of us care if they prefer a dick than a vagina?
