Good, let the gays do what they want.
This is a list of all the benefits that straight couples get, compared to gay couples.
Even if states allow same sex marriage, the government itself still denies marriage rights to homosexuals.
Even then, the government should still force all states to recognize gay marriage. The only argument against it is religion, so they're violating separation of church and state. I hate my country.
That fucking sickens me. People can't help who they fall in love with. It shouldn't be up to the government to determine federally who people can and cannot marry.
The Constitution needs to be rewritten. When it was written, it only applied to rich, white Christian males. It's really not that much different today.
There has always been a minority in this country that has been shat on by society. Always. "Freedom and justice for all" my fucking ass.
African Americans during the start of the country all the way up to the mother fucking 1960's. Even after Constitutional amendments people managed to keep African American's under their federal rights for practically a fucking century.
Immigrants during the early 1900's, and now homosexuals.
Ever since the start of this country, a minority has been put down by society and the government. I'm sick of this country.
Sooner or later people are going to have to open their minds and tolerate the stuff they don't like whether they like it or not. It may as well be sooner rather than later.
So, that makes five states (and the capital) and six countries (Canada, Belgium, Norway, Sweden, Netherlands and South Africa).
It's a good start, at least.

Wat
Is there ANY argument against gays besides religion? I'm honestly surprised this topic is still debated.

I think the UK government said it was cool a while back.
They made something called a 'Civil Partnership'. Basically it means any two people can be officially recognised as in a long term partnership with each other by the state. (and get the same stuff as married people, like the same tax).

Yay! It was all over the news here, Think the first couple actually got married yesterday. Had to wait three days for the marriage application to go through as normal. There was a religious (Not gonna say Christian -.-) holding up a burn in hell sign near where they all lined up for marriage applications. Got fruit thrown at him. :)
Wat
The people of Uganda were recently convinced to kill any homosexual they meet.
Christians are afraid of change.
