So the class was warned they would be seeing something inappropriate, she stayed and laughed, then turns around and files a complaint? Why should he get anything more than a warning?

Maybe you guys don't quite get EMS culture, but it's typically pretty crude and inappropriate. It comes with the territory of seeing dead people on a regular basis. I know it's inconceivable to some people that porn in an instruction setting isn't that big of a deal, but, well, it isn't.

Yeah, even more so when they're lying about their feelings being hurt in the first place.

Yeah and it was supposedly after training was over. I am a volunteer firefighter myself and after weekly drills we always hang out at the bar and sometimes we watch some funny videos, sometimes they could be pornographic (happened a few times). We have girls in our department and they are amazing firefighters and love a good laugh. Firefighting is a brotherhood, if something like this really offended that girl, I bet she could Have went to the instructor. If she said she was not happy about it at all, he would have felt terrible. Anyone would! But instead it seems she went and complained elsewhere after laughing at it.

Regardless, I can see a suspension just to get it over with but fired? Nah. That is just my opinion though.
