Just about every rescue squad call I have ever been on there has been a cop on scene before the ambulance got there. Some police take the EMT-B training course so they can be useful in medical emergencies and provide immediate first aid because in rural areas the police can often get a house much quicker then an ambulance. Police are often sent to EMS calls to check if the scene is secure as well.
It would seem Oklahoma just has allot of stupid cops.
