GOP chairman: Kids are ‘brainwashed’ on climate change
Voters will change their mind when GOP officials start talking seriously about climate change. It's been quiet here, but the Fox News CEO resigned (got fired), and Rupert Murdoch took over as interim CEO. Now, it's known that Rupert is a huge climate change denier, but his two aspiring sons, James and Lachlan Murdoch, are not. The kids already have a lot of power in the ranks of Fox News, but with this ousting of Alies, they stand a chance to change Fox News to a more center-right stance, including support for Climate change issues. Only time will tell with that, as it could go both ways depending on who gains power and how they decide to run the future of the company.
I don't trust the voters to change their minds like that.
OH FUCK OFF JAMES INHOFE
its sad that a 60+ year old man cant at least see his childrens point of view
Well, it goes a little something like this; Global temperatures have been rising steadily since prior to the industrial revolution, proving that it isn't entirely a man-made phenomenon. However, the industrial revolution raised that rate by which the temperature rises exponentially.
I love how he's wearing a cross even though the bible says multiple times and sometimes in direct fashion to not take bribes and not be a greedy piece of shit.
“My own granddaughter came home one day and said … ‘Popi, why is it you don’t understand global warming?’"
If my granddaughter came to me and said that, I would feel deeply ashamed.
Wishing death upon him is still taking it too far.
It's not a matter of 'I want this fuck to die'. It's a matter of 'if he keeps pushing this shit, he will die'.
feelings over facts seems to be the new gop slogan
Do not act like the Democrats don't use "feelings" to push policy.
Do not act like the Democrats don't use "feelings" to push policy.
He's saying that the GOP's stance on climate change ignores facts and instead focuses on feeling good, not that they push their policies by inducing feelings, which every political party undeniably does.
even if climate change is a complete hoax what the fuck harm is there in replacing all energy with safer and cleaner alternatives?
even if climate change is a complete hoax what the fuck harm is there in replacing all energy with safer and cleaner alternatives?
Less money for capitalists, or so they say.
He's saying that the GOP's stance on climate change ignores facts and instead focuses on feeling good, not that they push their policies by inducing feelings, which every political party pretty much does.
No their stance on climate change is funded by the energy companies that stand to lose from environmental policies.
No their stance on climate change is funded by the energy companies that stand to lose from environmental policies.
It still ignores facts even if its funded
If I say that the holocaust didn't happen and tons of neo-nazi groups backed me because their reputation would be hurt if the truth was told, does that instantly change that I've ignored facts?
Do not act like the Democrats don't use "feelings" to push policy.
there's a difference between using emotional appeals to push people to vote for something you have the evidence to prove is true and insincerely taking a stance you know is wrong because people feel that way
Wishing death upon him is still taking it too far.
No it fucking isn't
No it fucking isn't
Hypocrite.
You say wishing death upon someone for not believing in climate change is okay, yet if someone was killed for supporting the LGBT community in a muslim country I bet you'd be against it.
People like this will be the death of civilization.

Our generation, our kids generation, maybe even their kids generation; our grandchildren.
People like this need to fuck off and die, their sowing the seeds of destruction for millions of people globally and screwing over future generations so they can line their pockets for another decade or two before they die of old age. I really don't care if it sounds terrible or morally wrong, what they're doing is morally wrong on so many more levels than me saying I wish they would die.

You're still wishing for someone to die because they don't follow your beliefs. Western civilization has been trying to destroy that mindset for years.
Mindsets like this are what lead to eco-terrorism.

If the guy dropped dead, I wouldn't care for a second.
I don't wish harm on him, but if he died, meh.

Well, I would.
A living person, no matter what they do, is still a living person, and even if they have done morally wrong things in their lives I still carry respect for them.
Doesn't matter to me if they're sovereign citizens, murderers, or climate change deniers, I still carry respect for them even if I don't respect them as much as others.
Well, I would.

Good for you I guess? I agree, a person is always a person and shouldn't be devalued to be a monster or something they're not, humans are the only monsters on this planet after all.
I remember writing a letter to this guy because he's my state's senator about abortions alongside my at the time girlfriend's sister.
He essentially replied back to us with a "fuck you it's immoral and you're dumb."
I wish I had the letter but she does, I'll see if I can get her to send me a picture of it.

I'm sorry if it offends you that I don't care about a man who denies facts that will have sweeping consequences all across the globe, affecting pretty much everyone.
People like him are in positions of power to do something about it, yet chooses not to, in my eyes he was dead the moment he decided not to do anything about it.

You still shouldn't feel glad that someone will die, no matter what they believe, imo.

I wouldn't piss on James Inhofe if he was on fire.
History will hold people like him responsible for the inaction on climate and the resulting devastation climate change will cause - because they fucking are, we've known about this for decades.
The views he holds are a direct threat to the progression of our species.

You still support a mindset which the western world has been trying to abolish, and support somebody losing their life. Neither of those are okay in my book.
You still support a mindset which the western world has been trying to abolish, and support somebody losing their life. Neither of those are okay in my book.
Oh, get off of your high horse. James Inhofe clearly doesn't care much for human life or he wouldn't be peddling his nonsense. People will die as a result of climate change - the current heat wave we're going through is only the latest instance of that.
I'm not sure what mindset you think I support? Not giving a shit for a person whose largest contribution to our global society is accelerating its decline? Wishing the absolute worst on him?
Do you have any sense of proportion here? You're directing your moral indignation at me for hoping this man expires before he can propagate any more of his bullshit - instead of at the person whose actions and those of his compatriots will indirectly lead to the impoverishment and suffering of millions.
It seems pretty ass-backwards to me. Maybe absolute statements like "You still shouldn't feel glad that someone will die, no matter what they believe" make you feel better; but it makes little sense given the fact that some people in this world work to the complete detriment of everyone else, and we'd be singularly better off without them.
You still support a mindset which the western world has been trying to abolish, and support somebody losing their life. Neither of those are okay in my book.
The western world won't survive if society collapses due to this shit, and it's partly because of people like him. Fuck Inhofe.
This isn't something relatively minor like gay marriage or abortion, this is him spitting in the fact of the scientific community and giving a big middle finger to his species, fuckkk him.
It would also be hypocritical, as the "you die if you don't agree with us" mindset has been shunned and hated in the western world for years upon years, so I'm pretty sure the people who say he should die for this are normally against people dying for their beliefs.
to be fair, people will die because of his beliefs

i don't think he deserves death but i do think he deserves to be tried in a court of law for crimes against humanity
