With this, and the possibility of getting bombed by Iraq, we're just in some nice deep shit.
Well hey, when you go in and bomb the shit out of a country and steal their natural resources, that's bound to happen.
Do you know what no taxation without representation means?
taxation without representation means taxes are enacted by people that do not represent you by election
are you suggesting you didn't elect any of today's members?
Bush is sooo bad
in any case the clinton administration deserves credit, they balanced the budget, massively lowered the deficit, and only barely raised the maximum tax rate while reducing the minimum tax rate.
I wish Clinton could be president now, he seems to know what the fuck is up
Your sources are contradictory and the image is probably the most unbiased and dependable thing I have ever seen in my life.

No Taxation Without Representation
There is a reason it was once called "These United States;" indicating many independant nations that had joined together for the common defense. It has been, for many many decades, erroneously referred to as "The United States," which suggests that we are all one governing body.

what
Obama has already spent roughly 200 billion more dollars in the first year of his presidency than Bush spent in the peak of his spending.

you didn't read and the image cites the debt bureau
It is very naive to think that anybody likes paying taxes.
Not even Europeans can possibly enjoy giving the government a share of your hard earned money.
you guys can believe whatever you want, but when you spit out unrealistic nonsense i would like to remind you of: http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/promises/

taxes are based upon the social contract theory, it exists for the people

He had to
You completely changed the subject. I am talking about how Americans never really liked paying taxes, now you say stuff about "unrealistic nonsense"?
I never said that Obama broke any promises. I am saying he spent about 104 billion dollars more than Bush.
It is fact. The stimulus bill passed last year was 700+ billion dollars. According to the chart you posted, bush's highest spending was 596 billion dollars.
Ninja'd.

i'm having a discussion with about three of you
It's selfish and immature to not pay taxes though.
duh
Well thisispain seems to like refuting the fact that people don't like paying taxes, and that a significant part of the USA's reason to rebel was because of over-taxation without representation.
also illegal

You lack reading comprehension.
It's selfish and immature to not pay taxes though.
About as selfish and immature as congress. The US government for the past 10 years has been spending money willy nilly.
[editline]07:46PM[/editline]
also illegal

I do lack reading comprehension. It goes hand in hand with my dyslexia.
Except the middle class, which get taxed to death and dont get in on any of the social programs.
How do you think the upper class feels?
Followed immediately by entitlement programs
Oh hey I was out eating dinner. I'd favor a downsizing of programs that give aid to the poor, as I am well aware that exploitation of things like Social Security is one of the greatest drains on this country, but like I said before, the military is the biggest problem in the US budget. We need to downsize research and consolidate our forces from abroad. We don't need to be ready for World War III at any moment any more.
How do you think the upper class feels?
Warm and comfortable in their smoking jackets, sipping brandy.
About as selfish and immature as congress. The US government for the past 10 years has been spending money willy nilly
Who was the president for the majority of the last decade?
Anyone else find it funny, that the 10% bracket even exists? In most other countries it's 0%, the lowest bracket is like less than 8 grand per year, so students and such barely get taxed if they don't work much.
Yet in America they shit on their poor people by increasing their tax bracket the most out of any group.
There's a 0% bracket too dude, its not mentioned because it's obviously not getting increased.
Well thisispain seems to like refuting the fact that people don't like paying taxes, and that a significant part of the USA's reason to rebel was because of over-taxation without representation.
well what's wrong with that
people in the USA rebelled because they like rebelling it was obvious and people love paying taxes
totally

No 0% bracket.

Yeah, the middle class is the one that's suffering.
Everyone else is cosy

hey besides maybe obama republicans have contributed the most to the deficit especially when adjusted for the inflation that they started
the only policies i've seen work were clinton, it says something when the biggest criticism of a president is where his penis goes
