The filter will never happen.
That bit is obviously not true, but so far as the rest goes it's kind of irrelevant. I never said anything about a filter being made, just a person supporting it, which she seems to.

All I'm saying is that in the past few years that the filter has actually been on the table, it hasn't gotten anywhere other than some trials and lots and lots of talking about it. There is far too much opposition and controversy. As far as I was concerned, the filter was a null issue during the election. Not that I wouldn't put it past Abbot to pick it up and run with it if he got in power. Both parties will say anything to get majority.
I fucking hate how the majority of facepunch bitches about how labor is so bad and shit when they're really not, at least compared to the other parties. Especially those who aren't even australian and pretend to know shit about our politics. I'm so tired of people supporting the opposition simply because they don't like the current government over some filter that, as i have said many times, WILL NOT GO THROUGH. The first reason that comes to mind is that it would be political suicide. Everyone would be pissed as tits over it. The second, is that right now, our government is trying to CUT DOWN on unnecessary spending. Another thing is, the mining tax. It hasn't been talked about too much on facepunch; but i'd like to make a point: We only have these deposits of iron ore, uranium and other shit like that ONCE. We should capitalize on it greatly. Because sooner or later, we're going to run out, and some estimates have said our grandchildren could witness the beginning of it. I'm damn happy the greens support it too. Did you know, in 50-100 years; there will be no more matches? (or at least not as we know them today). Phosphorus reserves are estimated to deplete soon. Also, about fishing in australia. In some parts it's really popular and in some it's not. Up here in the north; river fishing is fucking fantastic. Catch me some barramundi!

The richest woman in Australia crying poor, that was pathetic.
The fact that people base their votes on one issue is what gets me
The richest woman in Australia crying poor, that was pathetic.
I'm sorry, what? May you please elaborate.
well it was never going to be a good outcome either way welp i don't even know if she's the lesser of the two evils anymore i think they are just equally evil
We where screwed either way, at least we get the N1 NBN plan. Also the filter.. well it isn't gonna be as strong as before.
everything you could want of australia except without the idiots in power
I dunno about that. John Key is a bit of a dick and our foreign minister is a fucking coward.

Is she against private fishing too?

Even though I was hoping Labor would win, I still want a double dissolution just so we can get a better, more stable government in. I guess the possibility of destroying absolute party loyalty, making crossing the floor common and the need to actually debate and take time for issues could happen but who knows.
wrong THREAD

People who go to popular spots; cast 5 rods and space them 10 meters apart are massive cunts. it'd be fair enough if they banned doing that. (unless you have a sports/commercial license and didn't do it at a popular spot.)
Excuse me Rusty but what the hell are you doing with that deleted message there
i had two tabs open and i posted in the wrong thread

Political soup can turn into a dangerous mix for a nation if stirred the wrong way.

Basically they will get some results and likely will want to scale it down.
I just don't like the idea of three men deciding who's going to lead the country. Another vote would've been better. People would've judged how each side on how they acted during the political limbo. Still. Labor. Gillard. Not too happy.
What a monumental disaster. Country is fucked tbh, we now have the most nutty socialist borderline communist political party in Australian history with Labor plus the Greens, and on top of that they are as incompetent as hell. Also you twits should listen to some of the more educated people on some of the talkback radio stations rather than believing all the crap your left wing socialist teachers/tv ads tell you. I cant believe this corrupt slimy bitch got in, I have to listen to her repeating stupid spin doctoring in her farcical voice for the next 3 damn years.
You are so fucking stupid.
Quality response, many would say the same about you :)
more educated people on some of the talkback radio stations
I see where you went wrong here.
Quality response, many would say the same about you :)
No you really ARE that fucking stupid
Quality response, many would say the same about you :)
Actually, No we wouldn't. The filter isn't going to get passed as well too many people are against it, and the NBN Will be awesome too.
He's just trolling.
