what exactly is fucking wrong with what I said
" the fucking atrocious parades and propaganda"??????
Gay all the way
" the fucking atrocious parades and propaganda"??????
They are really dumb though. They do way more harm than good.
so gays in russia should just, metaphorically, get fucked in the rear and not campaign for equality ok that makes perfect sense.
" the fucking atrocious parades and propaganda"??????
yes, parades are disgusting and atrocious, now what?
man i thought the US was an ass backwards country but apparently judging by these shitlords it's p. much taken that title.
man i thought the US was an ass backwards country but apparently judging by these shitlords it's p. much taken that title.
In the grand scheme of things, the US is far from being ass backwards.
yes, parades are disgusting and atrocious, now what?
Homophobic bastard
They are really dumb though. They do way more harm than good.
Depends what you mean. They do harm within the LGBTQA community because they often push other groups to the side - such as trans* poc or assexuals. But in and of themselves parades are considered important for the community and a unifying factor. They strengthen the LGBTQA community's social justice advocacy measures. And they certainly don't do any harm outside of the movement. In fact, they bring up LGBTQA issues to the forefront of national discussion.
All gay pride parades do is make homosexuals look like annoying flamboyant faggots and separate them further from everyone else.
this I don't want to see naked men on the fucking streets
All gay pride parades do is make homosexuals look like annoying flamboyant faggots and separate them further from everyone else.
did it take you very long to learn how to be a homphobic, bigoted, idiot or is it a natural talent that you and qwerty share
All gay pride parades do is make homosexuals look like annoying flamboyant faggots and separate them further from everyone else.
The original gay pride's entire first part is really serious and humble. The flamboyant part comes after. I do agree on the fact it looks kind of stupid and that it isn't exactly the best way to get rid of stereotypes.
All gay pride parades do is make homosexuals look like annoying flamboyant faggots and separate them further from everyone else.
Okay yeah I thought I was giving you way too much credit on that point. What's wrong with gay people being proud of their differences? Being a LGBTQA individual is unique, and all LGBTQA want is to be treated fairly by others. They should be proud of themselves - damn proud, in the face of homophobic bullshit like this. If you think it's annoying, you have every right to look away and tune it out. [editline]23rd July 2013[/editline]
this I don't want to see naked men on the fucking streets
Sorry qwerty, I didn't realize that the Russian Federation has to cater to all of your needs.
all LGBTQA want is to be treated fairly by others.
Then maybe they shouldn't make themselves look like idiots.
What's wrong with gay people being proud of their differences?
Because the entire point of fighting for gay rights is that we want these differences to be erased ?? Gay Pride feels like the message is "we're fine being weird and we're clearly not like you watch as we give a fuck" which in my opinion really degrades the entire fight for gay rights because it just encites people to consider homosexuals as "not normal", drifting away from the equality that we are supposed to strive for. When the first gay marriage in French history happened a while ago, one of the grooms didn't go in crossdressed as a bride, there weren't rainbows everywhere and they didn't play Erasure in the background. It was a normal ceremony with normal people celebrating a happy event and that along is carrying a stronger message than any gay pride parade.
homphobic
You assume I'm straight.
Then maybe they shouldn't make themselves look like idiots.
I think it's time you looked in a mirror.
You assume I'm straight.
well are you?
Goodbye Putin ;_;
Then maybe they shouldn't make themselves look like idiots.
Maybe the LGBTQA movement isn't just about conforming to society? Maybe it's about deconstructing established ideas of what "normativity" should be in society? Literally, the whole entire leftist portion of the movement is about deconstructing hetero normative beliefs. Are they making themselves "look like idiots" by being "flamboyant" and breaking from social concepts of who they should be? Not to mention, I think it's interesting you and qwerty are upset with seeing half-naked men down the streets. Would you be upset about these protests, too? They're feminists protesting the objectification of Ukrainian women in Eastern European society.
well are you?
None of your beeswax.
None of your beeswax.
You brought it up.
None of your beeswax.
is it just me or are the majority of people who post from the Russian Federation a bunch of fucking morons
Oh hahaha, so you utterly hate furries and bronies but apparently i'm the bigot
is it just me or are the majority of people who post from the Russian Federation a bunch of fucking morons
Good job generalising.

The equivalent would be trucker women with short hair kissing each other and insulting men all over the place, showing the world that lesbians ARE exactly that. The gay pride's only noticeable consequence is that homophobes have an even shittier opinion of gay people because all they see is people living up to the demeaning stereotype instead of fighting it. And "deconstructing normativity" is a gradual thing that won't work if you just decide to wear the most ridiculous and out of place outfit possible and hope people will go "yeah I can dig that" instead of "what the fuck are you doing". Trying to appear as abnormal as possible to everyone is just going to make you look abnormal to everyone. They are not going to think any better of you and that ruins the entire point.
Not to mention, I think it's interesting you and qwerty are upset with seeing half-naked men down the streets. Would you be upset about these protests, too?
Nice assumption that i'm biased towards hetero, and yes, I'd be just as upset if I saw naked women instead of naked men. Social norms, y'know.
is it just me or are the majority of people who post from the Russian Federation a bunch of fucking morons
You're right, sadly. But since you probably mean Russians in this thread, none of us started calling names.
