I'm gonna leave these thread before I get banned for disagreeing with a mod, but I will forever disrespect all of these highly paid neckbeards no matter what. They are not real men and don't know what work is.
Get off your high-horse you self-entitled crybaby.
these people literally don't have a life
Surely anyone who devotes every waking moment of their life to ANYTHING doesn't have a "life".
Quit being so narrow-minded. Practice and hard work applies to everything. If you think Dota 2 is just clicking and pressing buttons then you're dead wrong and that only proves your ignorance. You're making yourself look like a fool.

Look at those people.
Handsome-ass motherfuckers there.
Wow, this thread took a bad turn somewhere.

They're making a lot of money doing something they love. I'd say they have more of a life than you do. Hell, I'd give fucking anything to have a life like that.
They don't even begin to deserve even half of that money. My parents worked extremely hard physical labor getting paid next to nothing all their lives and still can barely afford anything, some nerds play a computer game and are set for life. Shit like this just REALLY gets to me for some reason
It's called having a talent.

"no life neckbeards"
Alliance look like the kind of guys I'd see hanging around on the streets, having a good time with their friends.
guys not all the money from this competition went towards the american cancer society i hope valve burns in hell
fuck volvo this nerds should not get money for playing a game if i dont too
also, 1.4 million went to some neckbeards who can play a game really well, while only 3,000 dollars went to one neuroscience contest. You can go and help out humanity's standard of living and get 3,000 dollars or go out and click a button and win a million dollars.
That's bullshit.
if you're working for the better of humanity you probably don't care if you're getting 3000 dollars or 1 million.
whats the point in complaining that these "neckbeards" won a million dollars for just "pressing a button"
have you even seen pictures of these people? have you even seen dota?
It's amazing what rich people spend money on.
There's someone out there with a PhD from Harvard living on the streets because he can't get a job while some teenagers press buttons all day and get rich.
it's the same reason why jon stewart makes millions making jokes on television
people wants to watch guys play dota 2, and i mean A LOT of people, so sponsorship and advertisement comes their way, hence the money they get
but going into their line of work is incredibly risky unless you somehow establish yourself as a personality to the point at least thousands watches your streams and you make enough money from the advertisement / sponsorship revenue to make up for the fact most tournaments don't pay that much
most kids don't make enough lol
