I had no idea that Maker had >50k channels under their belt. Aren't they over-extending themselves a tad? Surely there's a point where that becomes hell for a single organization to deal with. Or do they just horde channels to siphon off ad revenue?

If Disney gets too uppity and control-freakish, they can probably kiss the more self-confident and non-money-grubbing personalities goodbye. Just the mere threat of losing insanely-massive cash cows like PewDiePie should be enough to make them take it easy with their meddling, since people like him could leave and still make shit-tons of money under another provider's banner. Unless they pull some sort of contract shit that forces the personalities to either comply or leave, that is. Even then, some of the personalities with integrity would probably tell them to shove any restrictive contracts and their dumb rules, moving to another place or going independent again instead.
