Kindred Spirits on the Roof will release Uncensored on Steam
Normally I don't buy these things on impulse, since I'm not big into the animoos, but if it's for a good cause, voting with one's wallet for uncensored adult content, I'll slip somethin' into dat "ballot slot".
Once- once I've got the confirmation that the port's up to snuff, I mean. Hehe... *scratches back of head*
It is pretty hard to fuck up VN port, though the only PC version of Phantom of Inferno available in English is literally a dvd that plays in windows media player :suicide:
No, I mean, if you want to buy Bioshock Infinite you can just enter "Bioshock Infinite" in the search, no "digging" through anything.
Oh that's not the problem I talk about. I meant searching for something I haven't heard of, discovering old or new. Like a random horror game for example. If you are not familiar with games you will have to go trough a whole lot of stuff until you get to good things like Amnesia or Bioshock. It is easier to find "Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?"(I don't know what that is) than "Amnesia"(which had huge critical acclaim) on the list.
As long as I/people can completely hide these kinds of games, like Valve adding an "Explicit" category or something, with an option to remove it from your store, I see no real problem with this
however, considering how weird and nonchalant Valve are, I wouldn't count on it

"A week or two ago the Steam front page was full of underage anime girls in bikinis"
That would be the absolute dumbest reason in the world for a publisher to remove their games from Steam.
"Do we really want to be associated with a service catering to pedophiles?"
sounds like a pretty good reason to me

There's so many stupid implications and assumptions here that I'm not even going to sugar coat it, you're just a bellend.

Mind explaining what you mean?
Not sure about that, I really have to dig trough a whole lot of shit on Steam to get to a decent game now days. Of course it's not the only reason to move away from Steam, but things add up.
Well good is entirely subjective now isn't it? The broken games being on steam is a problem but still, not much of those.

What I mean is that your post is something I would expect to be posted on /v/ by someone trying to bait and rile people up on some anime game thread, not Facepunch.

And what I mean is how does this:
"A week or two ago the Steam front page was full of underage anime girls in bikinis"
not raise eyebrows

How is this relevant to our discussion?
And what I mean is how does this:

Obviously they're all 3000 year old witches.

Ignoring the fact that the original statement of it being "full of..." is a subjective comment and an obvious exaggeration:
Because it's a common thing to label all anime characters as "underage" just because they have big eyes, regardless of what age the character is supposed to be and no matter the breast size, and because bikinis are just what you wear on the beach. It's the point of view of a simpleton.
[editline]4th September 2015[/editline]
Not to mention that no matter how many games with "underage anime girls in bikinis" are on Steam, it will most likely continue to be the most successful digital distribution platform out there, and as long as that's the case publishers will maintain an interest in keeping their games on Steam, because guess what, companies run on money, not feelings of "fukkin weebs and their got darn pedoshit" people who get triggered at the sight of an anime character.

Alright, I don't know to what extent the content was shown, but I personally don't think shit like that should fly regardless of extension, but whatever

Alright, if it's only because of eyesize I agree it's dumb, from his description I expected it to be pretty blatant. But keep in mind, the "They're actually 5 billion years old!!!" excuse is even more stupid, and also creepy as fuck
And no shit they run on money, that's my point

Look, feel free to discuss this when genuinely illegal content is hosted on Steam, but until then, you're just talking out of your rear; the "she's actually [age a human can't reach] years old!!" stupid anecdote that you spouted that's merely recycled from other clueless people only proves that, it bears no relevancy to anything that's on Steam.

It IS illegal in quite a lot of places, the UK and in Scandinavia, for instance

There is no pornographic/explicit material depicting anime minors on Steam. What you think is "creepy" does not matter.

Which is something that might change now considering Steam's ~liberalized~ policies, isn't it?

It might, but it hasn't yet, so why even bring it up in the first place? This isn't even what was being discussed originally but whatever.
What an age to be alive.

True. My point regarding the third party companies was not necessarily what the companies themselves think, but rather them being afraid of what other people, potential customers, will think of them in case shit hits the fan and it becomes a big deal

If it happens, it's gonna be because of a general lack of quality control rather than one specific issue that arises because of lack of quality control; lolis will not cause the downfall of Steam.
How is this relevant to our discussion?
He's saying how it's okay to put real-life 16 year old girls in bikinis, but when you put 16 year old anime girls in a bikini, you're a pedophile.
This game is addorable
Lesbian ghosts that turns people into lesbians, not sure if this was thought up in Japan, or the bible belt :v:
There's a difference?
