One day, i aim to find out what people like this consider genuinely offensive enough to complain about.
He added that tourists began taking selfies in front of the banner
USA!!! USA!!! USA!!!

What do you mean about "people like this"?!?! That makes me feel insecure and less of a person. Excuse me while I do a presentation to the UN of how "People like me" can't express themselves without getting scrutinized to raise awareness for tolerance because people getting offended is so important.

6 million Jews died and you wonder why people might be a bit sensitive about this?
Imagine for a moment seeing two massive Nazi banners unfurled from the White House roof. You'd probably flip shit too.
I would laugh my ass off.
Maybe some people are just kind of confused and a bit concerned to see the banner of a hostile occupation that killed millions being flown in a country full of survivors of said occupation where neofascism has been getting quite a lot of attention lately.

see this.
Well, after the history of france and germany I can understand people were frightened. But that fear along with the offense taken should've stopped instantly after they saw the movie set crew standing in front of the building.
You just mad cause of the whole pit bull argument.

How much people killed Mao, Stalin, Genghis Khan, Napoleon etc....?
As far as I am concerned, noone is outraged by China's, USSR and French flags.

Napoleon didn't perform a genocide.
Napoleon didn't perform a genocide.
Just because one was targeted at a specific kind of people and the other one wasn't doesn't make either more or less important.
Napoleon didn't perform a genocide.
Ok, Turks did. Who is, apart from Armenians, outraged by Turkish flags?
see this.

Lol. "You're just mad cuz I totally burned you in dat other thread lol!"
We've reached middle school level of debate skill here

I hate this argument people make when it comes to this. People don't get outraged at those things generally because those things don't have nearly the public infamy of the Nazi's campaign of genocide. Are they arguably worse? Yes. Are they arguably more infamous? Nope.

Also a good portion of the people who saw the flag also could've seen the flags being unrolled 70 years ago.

That would be so surreal. Talk about extreme flash backs.
As far as im concerned there are only a select few people in this case who were actually allowed to be offended and shocked. And that is those who lived through the event.
Anyone who didnt experience the occupation or war first hand and lets say who are in their 20s -30s, those are likely the people who are over sensitive to an issue they never experienced.
Like seriously, for what logical reason would somebody think of would neonazis gain enough momentum to take over a damn government building. You would have to not know how anything in the world works these days to be fooled by that.

Come on.
Most would think it's a tasteless prank, which in itself would be very disrespectful.
Of course people are going to react to that, displaying Nazi views and symbols isn't exactly popular.

Especially in Israel.
Hitlers trying France now after his failed attempt in Minehead in England.

Or maybe some are actually sensible, reasonable people and start by making the correct guess that there's maybe a good explanation for it instead of resorting to knee-jerk reactions.
"people started screaming"
what? they thought hitler was back or?
Seriously.
I get that its the French and that everything is big and spooky, but calm the fuck down, Jesus H Christ.
Well, after the history of france and germany I can understand people were frightened. But that fear along with the offense taken should've stopped instantly after they saw the movie set crew standing in front of the building.

I would have raised an eyebrow, tried to figure out what was going on, saw the film crew and went "ah, that's it" and went on with my day.
There was no film crew. It was the day before filming and they wanted to make sure the banner would be okay when they needed it, but they apparently didn't put up any notices or anything, so all the locals could see was a couple of workmen inexplicably unfurling a Nazi swastika banner over a government building.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-34390525
The red banner bearing the Nazi swastika shocked onlookers during a test run for the film on Monday morning, according to Nice-Matin (in French).

The reason for the flag's use was more obvious to onlookers on Tuesday with performers in the area and roads cordoned off
And when the articles say people started screaming, I imagine they were screaming 'fuck off'
Or people could maybe stop being oversensitive bitches.
Many of these people lived through the invasion and under Nazi occupation.

He's so calm and relaxed
It's like his face is almost saying "Bitch plz"
Am I the only one who would've immediately thought, OH, they might be shooting a film soon?

People thinking that Hitler might come back like he's the outlaw of a western.

Leopold 2 ? A dictator ? What.
Leopold 2 ? A dictator ? What.
Probably refers to the brutal colonial rule in Belgian Congo.
Yeah, I know that, but that doesn't make him a dictator.
