I'd call LGBT discrimination as a whole the civil rights issue of our time, but I'm glad to see someone expressing that sentiment all the same. We haven't seen a legislative blitz from one party to withhold or remove rights from a specific group of people since the Jim Crow era.

Transpeople do get a lot of hate. I'm harassed every day because of it, but I don't think its the main issue here. We sill have tons of people who hate everyone from any branch of lgbtq

Agree with the LGBT being an overall topic that needs to be faced as a whole, not just trans in general. Although it really varies on where you happen to live. I'm fake-internet-friends with a spattering of transfolk, and generally those that live in the southern US are much more depressed and socially endangered. In other states it's not a huge deal but still causes some social stigma for some reason. As a comparison, I know two up in Canadia that have very little trouble, and one in the Netherlands that basically doesn't even realize people could possibly discriminate against LGBTs. tl;dr I'm moving
