Americans are horribly divided over the legacy of our 43rd president
hahahaha sure they are
Fuck Jeb, I want Ron Paul to be president.
Fuck yeah, ban libraries
Almost anyone is better than Obama.
are you fucking retarded
if we had palin as president then you would have science textbooks with excerpts from the bible
Fuck yeah, ban libraries
Your avatar fits that post.
At least it did when you posted that...
I don't know. I may be a Canadian, but if you ask me, he's been the best president the US has had in many years. I'm assuming it's because Obama is trying to change America to make it more secure for the future, but many Americans don't want the change. (For example: Greece).
Obama ran on a platform of "Change." I guess a bunch of people thought the gates of Heaven were going to open up as soon as he took office, even though his platform was pretty much center-left Democrat stuff, with some bipartisanship thrown in for good measure.
So when he DID take office and the gates of heaven didn't open up, a bunch of people were mad, and the republicans took the opportunity to step in and say LOOK HE WAS JUST A SOCIALIST ALL ALONG! GET HIM

That's a great way to put it. You've given me more fuel against my Obama-hater friends.
Fuck Jeb, I want Ron Paul to be president.
Ditto.
It's a shame they refused to give him media coverage.
Ditto.

Agreed. The media really does take over elections...votes don't mean shit these days.
Ditto.

Why would they give him media coverage
He's a far-right extremist who doesn't believe in evolution and would have been torn to shreds by his opponents if anyone thought he stood enough of a chance to be worth bothering with
I really think the last election was just about the first woman president or the first black president.
Because it was.

Why wouldn't they give him media coverage?
Let's change the rules and let Bill Clinton have another eight years.

It's true that he's radical, and I didn't agree with him 100% on some things. Pulling out of Afghanistan back then probably wouldn't have been the greatest move either, but for 2012 I'd gladly vote for the guy over some fucking Alaskan hockey mom.
I mean really come on, another Bush, Palin or some other pussy democrat that's going to shove bullshit down your throat can't be any worse than someone that's aiming to make an actual change.
Let's change the rules and let Bill Clinton have another eight years.
No rules to change. He can run if he wants.
That's right. If the era of Bush fatigue is really over, then here comes baby brother. Jeb Bush, the popular former two-term governor of Florida, is being mentioned as a viable Republican candidate for the presidency in 2012, although he has denied having an interest in running.

George W. Bush has said he doesn't think his brother will run for president in 2012
Nice thread title BTW. The article is the work of some columnist, not exactly a source on who's running for the GOP in a couple of years.
Correct me if I'm wrong. But wasn't Jeb Bush the intelligent and rational one of the family? I remember hearing some good things he did for education and the environment during him being a governor.

I reworded the CNN headline title because it sucked. No need to be critical, CNN had the same meaning in their version.
Almost anyone is better than Obama.
is it just me or does everyone seem to hate the current president no matter who it is?
is it just me or does everyone seem to hate the current president no matter who it is?
Yep. People like to have something to bitch about.
Third time lucky.
is it just me or does everyone seem to hate the current president no matter who it is?
they dont understand that the next president inherits the last president's problems so we look up to the present president to not fuck up whatever the last president did
still gotta love the whole "Obama is the worst president ever!!1!1!" people.
Yeah, because having so many problems thrown at him, and every solution he proposes either denied or slowed down massively really means he's a bad president.

All the Bush bandwagon folk rubbed off on the people that actually listened to Obama, now they all hate Obama.
Fucking Republicans.
So what is it that so many Americans have against Obama? I don't get it.
>Wants to reform healthcare, wall street, energy
>Republicans smear Obama
>Rich people in healthcare, wall street, energy industries pay off Republicans
>Republicans smear Obama more
>People think Obama is a communist Muslim
[editline]15th November 2010[/editline]
>Came into office during a huge recession, failed to make everyone millionaires within 24 hours
Obama seems harmless enough
Then again, I'm not an american so I wouldn't really know
Honestly, id rather have Jeb than Palin, and id rather have (enter sophisticated republican or democrat that will get the job done for real this time and possibly even use values of both liberal and conservative to keep things in a balance) x4 instead of jeb.
