So what is it that so many Americans have against Obama? I don't get it.
hes the president
oh dear christ no
no more bushes
Jeb actually seems like a decent guy and I don't understand the hate against George Bush Sr.
he was the president
Maybe if you didn't make a "if blah blah happens, I'm leaving and going to blah blah" post, which is usually an empty threat typically made toward parents by 15 year old kids, nobody would assume that you are indeed 15 years old.
Maybe if you weren't so uninformed of the economical situation that our currently in and the failed 8 years of republican policies you would too understand that these threats aren't all "empty."
Jeb Bush:
leading the fight into another era of neo-conservative ignorance and fiscal stupidity.
Sr. wasn't that bad but he came from a pretty shady crowd. The same probably applies to Jeb.
this is the focal-point of angsty teens

sigh
don't worry angsty teens can't vote anyway
Well, you convinced me.
Two equally social conservatives, one who helped run the economy into the ground as well as has destructive foreign policy is not "ok"
The funny thing is, Jeb is the smart one. I'm a democrat, but even I know that Jeb would have been preferable to George. George is the hick fuck up, Jeb is just a regular republican.

I never said that all of those threats were empty, I explicitly said "usually", the knee-jerk response was unnecessary.

How is it that Bush gets blamed for the economy going downhill when it started before he came into office, yet when the economy tanks after Obama gets into office, it's the leftover effects of Bush's presidency?
Double standard much?
Of course he's worse. If Ron Paul was actually able to do everything he wanted (abolish public schools & libraries, eliminate welfare and social security, eliminate regulation of businesses, abolish the civil rights act, ban abortion, etc) the country would pretty much become a living hell for anyone who isn't an affluent, healthy, white, heterosexual male.
But even if he did win, that would never happen, because Congress would backhand him into submission his first month in office. Everyone would blame him for the countries problems and he'd be out of there 4 years later, having accomplished nothing.
Dude, Ron Paul is pro gay rights and pro civil rights. He's just got a bug up his ass about big government and the way the congress "abuses" it's legislative powers. He's wrong, but at least he's consistent.

So what have people got against Jeb?
He will be the president?
At least Jeb's not the Bush son who's a drug addict.
How ya figure that, champ?
Well he's against civil rights (racist)
against abortion (misogynist)
against the separation of church and state (theocrat)
and a wannabe libertarian (Somalia is the best example of a libertarian society at work)

So it's okay to apply extremist buzzwords to certain opinions if you do it?
From the blackest possible presidential name to the whitest possible presidential name.

Eh, actually, at the start of his first period the States were exiting a brief period of recession caused by the dot com bubble burst, nothing like the late 2000's one. Bush didn't do ANYTHING to avoid the exponential increase of oil prices, he did actually let it hit the $100
mark ( It's now down, btw, only due to the same recession reducing oil demand ). Given that it built up ENTIRELY during his two periods, burst on December 2007, and ended around 4 months after Obama entered office, I'd say it's safe to say that you can blame the Bush administration for the latest recession.
I also don't see how could anyone who considers him or herself leftist would vote for Ron Paul. He's one of the most conservative guys there is on the House of Representatives. In fact, I don't see why would anyone be attracted to his views, he seems almost fascist.
I don't know. I may be a Canadian, but if you ask me, he's been the best president the US has had in many years. I'm assuming it's because Obama is trying to change America to make it more secure for the future, but many Americans don't want the change. (For example: Greece).
He's good, but not better than Bill Clinton :911:

I hardly see how abortion makes you a misogynist
and wow, could you be any more biased? Stop being such a fucking joke, your way of defaming or making someone look lesser is always saying scare words that probably don't have much to do with the actual beliefs of the person.

Basically his position is "minorities and gays are okay in my opinion but the government should not attempt to prevent discrimination against them in any way, which is, practically speaking, the same position an incredibly bigoted candidate would take. It's sort of like saying you're anti-crime but don't believe in having a police force.
Jeb is/was the Governor of Florida wasn't he? Hell, I'd vote for him after seeing who he's up against.
I hardly see how abortion makes you a misogynist

They do this through two distinct types of article in the press. The first goes like this: Some very young women are having abortions (sometimes, shock horror, without telling their parents). These women are portrayed as immature and highly irresponsible (though the biggest group of women who have abortions are aged 20 to 24).
In terms of irresponsible and wicked behaviour, abortion is second only to being a teenage or single (or teenage and single) parent. And as, once pregnant, these women are therefore vilified if they go ahead with the pregnancy or vilified if they abort it, there is only one answer - abstinence. Essentially, these articles are about telling women - and it is women that these pieces focus on - not to have sex.
The other type of article is far more subtle - the confessional article, from women who have had an abortion, and who seek to explain why they made this choice. These articles can almost be seen as a plea for absolution, or forgiveness: I had an abortion and I chose it because of such and such reason but I feel I have to justify it to you and please forgive me. And because society likes, even more than a virgin, a fallen woman who wants redemption, these articles are also encouraged.

lmao, you're a funny poster, i think you're subtly making fun of all ultra-liberals on FP
There are only one or two people on Facepunch who could possibly be described as "ultra-liberal"

Personally he's not a bigot, but he might as well be because his personal views don't mean shit if he doesn't put them into his job

Well I'm just wondering how the idea of opposing abortion automatically makes you a misogynist, maybe his reasoning makes him that, but Zeke didn't specify that at all, he just kinda said "he doesn't like abortion he is sexist bastard!!"
And I guess he's making fun of those one or two people
