Wait, you seriously think fighting is the shit you do in Street Fighter? "Fancy techniques" aren't a thing outside sports.
Fancy techniques as in anything past pummeling your enemy with your fists and legs repeatedly.
people confuse self defense with beating the shit out of someone, they believe once someone hits you or is about to attack you then you have a right to completely destroy them which is not the case in UK law here.
Yeah; But it is in Texas.
Regardless if what he teaches is dumb or not you shouldn't ban him just because he teaches it.
I didn't know you could ban someone from entering the country like that.
I didn't know you could ban someone from entering the country like that.
They've banned everyone in the WBC from entering the country too.
The only case where lethal violence is necessary is when your assailant is armed with a deadly weapon, e.g. a knife or firearm. Even then, it's not the fact you want to kill them; it's the fact that there's no better option, and lethal action is the quickest way of stopping them.
Causing harm in the name of self defense should only go so far to stop the attacker. Once the threat is gone, causing harm is unneeded. This guy just seems blood-thirsty.
'"He teaches self-defence techniques, which according to his own website, are designed to inflict "crippling pain" to an attacker, and claims violence is "your ultimate survival tool"" wow umm what the fuck I really support punching in self defense hard enough to maybe move a few teeth, sprain some bones but crippling pain? That sounds very sadistic
The only case where lethal violence is necessary is when your assailant is armed with a deadly weapon, e.g. a knife or firearm. he seems a little nuts tbh, theres a diffrence between apprehending your attacker till police arrive or so you can run away but to apprehend then completely kick the shit out of the attacker isnt self defense
Just to let you guys know, after some viewing of his sample vids, and researching on Bullshido, I found out this guy is kinda bullshit. His methods and techniques are up there in fantasy land. You people in England should be happy he isn't allowed in your country.
Reminds me of this guy.
Wouldn't be ten times easier just to pin the guy, knock him on his ass or taze him or something? The point of defence isn't to make sure the other guy's screaming like a little girl, it's to make sure people don't get hurt.
No. He seems to be teaching a form of hand to hand combat that appears in various forms throughout the world. The idea is basically that you leverage your opponent's strength/weight and focus it on the weak points in the human body. Pinning someone takes an incredible amount of force and skill. Meanwhile using their forward momentum to force their elbow to reverse directions (thereby snapping it) takes comparatively very little force. That is effectively what is going on here. The joints are targeted, and then pushed in the wrong direction until they break. It is a simple and extremely effective means of self defense because it ends a fight quickly and doesn't rely on your strength to be effective, only your ability to spot opportunity.
