In my opinion they are doing nothing more than what newspapers have done for many years. Nobody has ever hunted down the editor in chief of a newspaper for publishing leaked documents.
Except wikileaks is publishing classified information.
Fuck Wikileaks. Why do you all care.
maybe we want to know some government secrets?
maybe we want to know some government secrets?
It's classified information for a reason. Wikileaks are just going to cause shit that didn't need to happen.
Haha, then soon enough there won't be a service you will be using because every sane business will reject wikileaks.
Paypal is objectively terrible and this just pushed me over.

Remember what happened when people THOUGHT aliens were invading?
The Government probably has things covered up a lot worse. Imagine what would happen if everything was released.
Civil war anyone?

How is this relevant to anything?
Good, can't wait until he is hanged for being a traitor.
I would rather have him shot.
How is this relevant to anything?
Your right.
I assumed the Government covered up Aliens of something similar / worse.
Silly me.
They could just jail him and threaten to execute him if he releases the password.
Doubt he'd go this far to not do it, even if he loses his life.
Wouldn't it be a bad thing to arrest him if they know he'll release it all if they do? Assange really has them by the balls.

They could just jail him and threaten to execute him if he releases the password.
He wouldnt give a shit I guess.
why is it most of you think that the government shouldn't know a single damn thing about your personal lives and there should be absolutely no surveillance anywhere or searches in airports but it's your god-given right to know absolutely everything about every shit the government takes and every sneeze that happens in wartime

I don't think Australia has the death penalty for treason.

Because we should control the government, not the other way around.
But people say "go kill yourself" all the time, and suicide is illegal (in many places). This all seems a bit fishy to me.
there's a difference between insulting and endangering
Except wikileaks is publishing classified information.
"Leaked documents" are usually classified.
Good, can't wait until he is hanged for being a traitor.

For him to be a traitor he would have to be an American citizen, please do your research before spouting bullshit.
That's like saying any store "encourages illegal activities" Because you can spend money there, even if it's gained through illicit means.
Except that in this scenario, the only way to get money is to do illegal things.
Wikileaks isn't going to publish stuff that's already in the public domain.
Oh no, wikileaks is releasing classified documents with the purpose of spreading hate and causing international problems. God forbid anyone get angry at him.
The fact is that Wikileaks doesn't have any "good" leaks anymore, and likely won't get any seeing as how much attention is placed on it. If you were in the government, you'd have to be insane to leak information in the upcoming months or years.
Assange isn't a hero, he's just an outdated criminal trying to get his 15 minutes of fame.
Well PayPal locks and limits any account with no reason at all so it's not much of a surprise.
No, they don't
WikiLeaks sucks. They're wasting time and resources for the U.S. and other countries. Really, they're causing a lot more harm than good.
I really hope this doesn't hurt my beloved country. For all of you that are hoping this ruins America's image, and will bring down the government. Please find an expedited ticket to hell.
Gotta love Paypal hate bandwagooners
Closed my paypal account, don't want to do business with these assbags.
PayPal is under absolutely no obligation to facilitate blatantly illegal leaking of classified documents in the country in which it operates. The only surprising thing is that they let the account remain open as long as they did.
Alex Jone's InfoWars website is being censored by google mysteriously...

Also, if they do release the password, how do I input it into the insurance file?

It'll ask for a password when you mount it in TrueCrypt.

Paypal has no defense. Wikileaks' objective has been perfectly clear since the outset - Paypal is deciding just now that they're breaking TOS? Please.
You're right they've got no obligation. But I'm also under absolutely no obligation to use their services.
You're right. And I'm under absolutely no obligation to use their services.
That's probably because you are ignorant and stubborn.
