Yet the people praising it as 'metal' aren't getting dumbed, despite being just as wrong.
I don't like the soundtrack because most of the tracks lack a distinctive bassline, beat, or melody, so I find they blend into the background as sheer noise and stop being music. As music I could see myself listening to it on its own, but as a soundtrack I don't think it works. I would love for KF2 to have something like the Resident Evil soundtrack, a little more metal and a little less D&B, more tracks like 'Abandon All', as opposed to tracks like 'Smiles and sLaughter'.
the soundtrack for the game is noise, drum’n'bass, EBM, industrial metal and instrumental
the entire soundtrack isn't industrial metal that's for sure, but the most recognized one is which is Abandon All. of course people are going to refer to the soundtracks genre after what songs they recall the best, and do you really expect people to list every genre when speaking of the soundtrack?
praising it as metal is okay in my book as industrial metal is just a sub-genre for it.
Most of the OST does just start to merge as a big distorted mess after a while, needs more Wyre and Patriarch theme
Thrash metal would be tippy top for this game

Yea that's the Wyre level song, easily the best one, more of that pls tripwire
You can also cut off the music completely and play your own music
I usually only notice the music at the beginning of the wave, or during a lull, or when the team gets wiped.
I don't know why, but it really complements a game over.
I would like to have a hard metal/breakcore soundtrack.

Would anyone else here be super pissed if they added a class that used turrets? Because a couple people on the forums are prostrating themselves to their god for a TF2 engineer class. God, that would be 10x worse than the firebug (no offense to the classes strengths, it is just annoying as hell for everyone else)
Never add sentries. Just because some engineer uses them in some hat-simulator, doesn't make it ok for a higher-quality war-simulator to use them. If you want those, go play Defence Alliance 2 or something.
As someone who usually loves deployable turrets, keep them away from Killing Floor.
If people really want them they will be modded in, it's what happened to KF1
better to leave it out of the base game
the only acceptable hats for KF is pipebomb hats

Sucks because Firebug was pretty fun to play as.

Love the Uzi.
It was an M11 or an M10.

Sort of agree. MarylinMansonesque metal-industrial fusion works very well in post-apocalyptic settings to induce a sense of dread and foreboding. RE1 hit the jackpot when they chose Manson.
Edit:
Hell, Manson himself sort of has the look down. Off-white, menacingly empty and lifeless eyes are proper zombie eyes IMHO. It's important to impart upon a zombie the look and aura of familiarity. But it's the little things that are very different from how they should be that tick people off. You KNOW something's way too wrong when a seemingly normal person with glazed over, dead yet live with intent, eyes is shuffling towards you. A similar scenario would be demonic possession of your own child. You look upon it, seeing your own flesh and blood. But the look in it's eyes just feels so dreadfully wrong. You can't make out if you're seeing that thing or what remains of your child, if at all. You aren't sure if there's anything remaining at all but a physical shell. That's the cool-as-fuck thing about being a human - imagination. With technology to aide our visions, the things we can produce that twists our primal fears is just awesome!
i'm hoping they tone down the explosion smoke and make the firebug's fire effects a bit less visually dominant, those two things were really goddamn annoying in the first game
I would like to see the firebug to be actually useful. The fire did shit damage and didn't really help with the bigger zeds. It couldn't even do crowd control.

I get top of the scoreboard every single time I play firebug, like hundreds of kills above everybody else
Even just spam clicking the flamethrower you can kill everything in your path instantly

Firebug is incredible, I don't know what you're on about.
Happy birthday killing floor 5 years! Just read tripwires racebook page it has a photo info thing.
Firebug is incredible, I don't know what you're on about.
seriously, it was so OP too.
You used to spawn with body armor, flamethrower, 5 grenades that set shit on fire, and a fully loaded mac-10.
By far my favorite class.
Best Killing Floor music

I like the idea of an older version of the police guy coming back.
Anyone know if there's a story attached to this? Like it's years later or something?
oh yeah and hopefully they don't put the ranged weapon for the BERSERKER behind a paywall like they did with kf1.
[editline]14th May 2014[/editline]
like haha holy shit kf1 just fucking fell under once they started to release non-cosmetic dlc.
like, even if all the paid weapons were just sidegrades or reskins, the fact that you have to spend an extra few seconds scrolling through a list filled with weapons you may or may not be able to buy is a really big issue when you've got like, what, a minute to get to the shop/buy shit??
any shots of the new scrake? thats my absolute favorite zombie in any zombie game
I think it's more along the line of:
"You're objectively wrong, so your opinion is flawed/baseless."
Which was verified when he incorrectly stated KF's music genre.
So what's the problem? Better to correct someone's mistakes than to let them drown in sugar-coated ignorance.
he also said that it "wasn't music" which is objectively wrong and worth dumbing over
so I assume that early access won't be for couple months at least if they're planning on doing in-house betas
I'd rather them keep it in closed beta rather than early access tbh.
this; tripwire has a bad habit of listening to the community and making some questionable decisions
and im still burned out on payday 2's shitty tryhard community going "MAKE IT HARDER!" with each passing minute and hoping kf2 won't suffer the same fate
I stopped playing altogether when they wouldn't stop releasing weapon packs. Not even the campaign mode kept me around for long.
I'm hoping they go with their gut feeling this time. I really don't want them to screw this up.
Yeah, the weapon packs were a huge disappointment. I was hoping TW wouldn't do that shit.
Well hey, some of us like our guns to be golden.
