Well hey, some of us like our guns to be golden.
I wouldn't mind skins at all, but there are weapons behind a pay wall.
Well hey, some of us like our guns to be golden.
The golden guns wouldn't be a problem if they weren't an annoying slot still in the shop screaming in your face for you to buy them. On top of that there's actual game changing weapons tripwire wants you to buy, namely the flare revolvers. It makes the firebug class so much more powerful but unless you throw some more dosh their way you can't have them. And there's always the reminder that they're fucking you when you open up the shop menu.
I haven't bought a weapon DLC yet and I am happy with Firebug as it is.
I haven't bought a weapon DLC yet and I am happy with Firebug as it is.
That's cool and all but Tripwire went out of their way to make sure they could milk killing floor as hard as possible. They added game changing weapons you have to pay for, they have advertisements for their DLC right in the main menu, then they have -another- advertisement that's animated and has audio when you're queuing for a game, then they have a -THIRD- advertisement when you open up the shop and you see DLC weapons all over the place. Really? You have to beg for me 3 times (or more if there's a killing floor deal on steam store or something) to give you more money after I've already been loyal to you, Tripwire? I've already given money for the game, bought copies for friends, talked friends into buying copies, and bought a handful of cosmetic packs why do I have to be barraged with stupid bullshit that I'm not interested in? Tripwire also fucked Killing Floor pretty hard in my opinion. They had an obvious dark/gritty theme and I had no problem with the silly holiday events because they were temporary and spiced the game up a little bit. Then they saw the community liked the silly events so they just started cramming silly shit into the game until it's barely comparable to how it looked when it first went retail. Why did they stray from the pseudo-realistic theme and start putting stupid steampunk shit into it? How long is it going to be before I see killing floor 2's theme get raped and I start getting begged to buy more shit from them?
Apparently i've been playing on servers where all the dlc weapons are unlocked. (and all sharpshooter weapons seem to be missing)
The Bile Launcher is, like, the worst weapon I've ever used.
