Hail Satan!
As a Satanist of 4 years, I can safely say that your weapons are completely useless.
THE POWER OF CHRIST COMPELS YOU! :catholic:
We all know what Satanists have done in the past.
Now If you will excuse me, I am taping the Borgias.
Standard exorcism procedure requires rigorous psychiatric analysis before any supernatural judgement is made.
Satan is so much cooler than god anyway.
Something "good" happens, thank God.
Something "bad" happens, blame Satan.
Let's blame/thank these two things instead of the cause of "bad"/"good" thing.
And let's pray instead of doing anything.
If you dont like this post i can blame Satan.
He made me to post this.
And if you liked this, then God is here with us.

Satanism does not necessarily involve worshipping anything.

LaVeyan satanism is reactionary you dolt, the whole point is to not take everything literally.
Destruction rites involve the symbolic annihilation of an enemy through the use of "vicarious" human sacrifice often involving a customized effigy representing the intended victim which is then put through ritual fire, smashing, or other representation of obliteration.
And other things. Really just a metaphor?
I didn't say metaphor, I just said not to take it literally, and I'll to that, don't take some of the shit seriously.
I pretty much follow the Sins, The Cardinal Rules and The Eleven Satanic Rules of Earth, although not to the extent I'll declare mortal combat if someone keeps pissing me off.
I remember this really old facepunch thread, saying that Jesus was actually Satan, trying to trick the people he was "messiah" or whatever. It suposebly said that something like that would eventually happen in the bible.
Upon research I just found out about "The Eleven satanic rules of the earth"

What the hell how did that 1. get there? Must be some kind of satanic magic.

This, I'm tired of angsty teens giving satanism a bad name.
[editline]5th April 2011[/editline]
Though, I'm from a lutheran country (Denmark) and the priests seem way more knowledgeable than these idiots. I talk religion with a priest my family knows, about pretty deep stuff, about several religions, evolution, etc. they don't go YOUR OPINION IS WRONG, which allows to have an actual conversation with them.
I'd love to watch one of these exorcism on a (LaVeyan) satanist.
"well that was a waste of time"
They'd just beat him to death.
"The power-" *BAM* "of Christ-" *KRUNCH* "compells you!" *CRACK*

Do I really have to explain this again? I miss it when we had our own custom forum.
"Destroying" someone doesn't mean taking a hammer and smashing their face in. It means not holding back in whatever you want to do to them, whether it means annoying them in return, forcibly removing them, or metaphorically destroying their lives if you want.
And as for empathy? Fuck empathy. We have no need for it, and don't pretend to.
Edit:
Oh, right, magic. Magic in Satanism isn't sacrificing a goat and, viola, all your enemies are now drowning because their lungs have filled with blood.
"Magic" is separated into two sections. Lesser, and Greater.
Lesser is merely the art of manipulating people so you get what you want out of them. Merely dressing and acting in a certain way can go miles towards getting a person to do whatever you want.
Greater magic involves rituals. Rituals are about releasing any bad energy you might have pent up. For instance, a destruction ritual can be used if you're incredibly angry.
I have a strong feeling that Anton LaVey just wanted to gussy up libertarianism and hedonism a bit and BAM satanism was born
then he added rituals and shit to lend it religious credibility

I'd rather not make this into a full blown discussion about the validity of my religion.

You already did that when you corrected someone else

I was correcting someone on specific parts of my religion, not my religion as a whole.
My only concern with satanism is that it tells you to care only about the individual, that's just not compatible with society. It's pretty cut and dry libertarianism.
Do you support tax-supported healthcare and public education?

Yes, I do.
The reason why I'd rather not get into explaining Satanism entirely is because it's incredibly difficult to summarize any religion in just a couple posts. The way you put it is... Well, not far off, but not entirely correct.
We don't believe that you should only ever look out for yourself, and that everyone else is just dead weight. We're just saying that, when it comes down to it, you're the only person who is really important to you. You can help other people, if that's what makes you happy.

I love the Satanic Bible. Much of the reason is that, unlike the Bible which is full of allegory stories and allusions and such, the Satanic Bible doesn't fuck around. :buddy:
A particular quote I'm fond of:
Satanism has been thought of as being synonymous with cruelty and brutality. This is so only because people are afraid to face the truth—and the truth is that human beings are not all benign or all loving. Just because the Satanist admits he is capable of both love and hate, he is considered hateful. On the contrary, because he is able to give vent to his hatred through ritualized expression, he is far more capable of love—the deepest kind of love. By honestly recognizing and admitting to both the hate and the love he feels, there is no confusing one emotion with the other. Without being able to experience one of these emotions, you cannot fully experience the other.
Actually, now that I know something about LaVeyan Satanism, it sounds rather appealing. There are parts I don't agree with for sure, but it seems so much more open and straightforward than any other religion I've seen.
Don't forget modern Satanism's forgotten cousin, Thelema!
I'm more of a Ra, God of the Sun, fan.

"You want to please that glowing gold disk thing in the sky? There's an app for that..."
Seriously, he's got the head of a falcon and carries the Sun Disk around on it. How can you not find that awesome?
