Why are people coming here saying it was good they banned muse just because it's a band they don't like?
Australia is obviously wrong here, it happened with muse but could happen with a ton of other artists, what if it was with a band you really liked? Stop thinking your opinion is worth more than the others..
I've seen, like, one guy in this thread say it was good that they were banned because they sucked. You're attacking a standpoint most people aren't defending
I remember the time a spanish radio station told them not to swear, and they were offended, so Matt changed the lyrics to one part of a song and just pretty much said "Fucking fucking fuck fucking fuck fuccckkkk" or something to that effect :v:
I wish I lived in Australia now.
Wasn't Muse generally liked on FP a few years ago? This is the first time I've seen so many people bash Muse on Facepunch.
No it's not, there's just a hate bandwagon for people who haven't heard anything besides Supermassive Black Hole and Knights of Cydonia.
Even though I haven't listened to them yet, I hate it when people automatically accuse you of hopping the bandwagon because it's apparently impossible to like your interest for a good reason. Believe it or not, it's possible for someone to hate your interest other than bandwagon.
Smoking on stage is stupid, huge fire hazard.

Muse is one of those bands I try to like, but have failed.
I read the title as Guess what... Australia bans Music.
I also came in here thinking they had banned the music, not the band.
It's still fucking retarded, banning someone from the country because he smoked in a no-smoking location?
i dont know what to think, on one hand they broke the law, on the other it makes my country look like a little cry baby
Yeah they broke the law but getting banned from the country for smoking instead of just getting a fine?
australia is obviously a big douche
I wish Chris would quit his smoking problem. He also gained weight since the early years, so he's definitely not the healthiest of the group. As a fan, I still find this hilarious. Sucks for Australia.
I approve of this, Australia. Very good. :golfclap:
Australia will be banning Lady Gaga in 3... 2...
good.
No?

Read the thread again, you will see quite a few are happy with this and/or are bashing muse for no real reason.
Who the fuck smokes on stage anyway, stupid band did stupid action. Good that they are banned. They suck anyway.
The funny part is that your avatar is 'The Who"
Why would you ban it if people will just pirate it anyway.
Even if they ban stuff, it will never be stopped.
Read the thread again, you will see quite a few are happy with this and/or are bashing muse for no real reason.
people 'bash' Muse because they don't like them. I 'bash' the conservative party because I don't like them. When there is something that you don't like, you tend to be vocal about it.
Seriously, if they ban a band like Muse, nothing stops them from banning Lady Gaga too...
the original argument was that people were coming in here saying that it was good that Muse were banned, when in fact it was person, not people.
automerge
They can pick any of the shenanigans she does as a valid reason and that's it :v:

My 'merge, straye ¬¬
Brb, moving to Australia
Hey, a country that's even more ban happy than my own.

You're missing the point, this thread is not about whether muse are good or not.. Create a thread for that, this thread is about Australia banning a band from performing due to reasons which are in the least a bit silly. All it does is making Australia look like a cry-baby and have the fans not having the chance to see a band they like perform.

Muse are... anti-establishment?
they aren't a very good band anyways. Also LOL Australia.
Good, very good. Now Australians can take time to appreciate good music.
Why would you ban it if people will just pirate it anyway.
please tell me how to pirate a concert
i must know
If these are widely applied rules in Australia bands must hate playing there. I mean what are the limits on a "mosh pit"? Just a literal mosh pit or are people not allowed to dance, jump around, whatever?
Nothing's worst for a band then playing a show and having everyone just stand there.
