If this happens it's not because the Australian government is being strict, it's because Muse decided to not follow a venue's rules and as such will have legal charges taken up against them. Simplifying it to AUSTRALIA BANS MUSE is only going to let the retards in the thread build up a case for hating on Australia unjustly. Plus the rule about moshing is common at many festivals around the world, just not rigidly or effectively enforced. It's fair enough that they have a law against it though if it's such a dangerous act. It's like underage drinking, the rule is there so the government can't cop any shit for the deaths that will occur either way.

I know I'm probably going to get lung cancer sooner or later, if not because of the atmosphere of Philly then because everyone around me except my immediate family smokes cigarettes constantly. So yeah, I think everyone who doesn't want to have to deal with a disease they didn't make a choice to have should be able to bitch. Plus, everyone sees me as an asshole anyway so whats the point in changing you're already tainted perception of me. In reality, Australia's Prime Minister was a bit hard of hearing, and his government wanted an all-out blanket ban on every genre of music ever, but when they realised there was no way they could communicate what they wanted they just gave up and let the Prime Minister go along with it They have to fulfil their banning quota for the month somehow

Smoking is a decision, just like abortions. It's a hard decision, and many people give in and (in respect to smoking) continue doing it. It takes people who have real self control to really quit smoking. If you love these people enough, you can get them to conform to your sense of negativity towards smoking. If you think you're being a jackass, then your doing nothing at all to help them (in your view of course). However you [b]can[/b] avoid smokers, just leave the room, or tell them to put it out when their around you. Most smokers don't give a shit, and will most likely go outside out of politeness anyway.

You can replace 'hospital' with bar, club, store, shopping centre, cinema, etc. The point is, they were told "Don't smoke on stage" and they smoked on stage. Not on. The reason why doesn't matter, it's the fact that they did it while knowing they weren't allowed to.
