Holy shit finally, I really hope they do find it and give closure to all who lost people.
Holy shit finally, I really hope they do find it and give closure to all who lost people.
well, it might be alive.. in march someone was arrested after uploading data of the plane diego garcia
I swear some people in this thread learned more about physics than they did in school.
This isn't physics.
This isn't physics.
Yes it is?
This isn't physics.
Frequency is physics
This isn't physics.
It is.
It is.
Everything is
This isn't physics.
Dude of course it is! (I don't know shit, I just wanted to jump in and say that)
This isn't Physics, it's statistics. Just ask Sindri335
physics and/or electronics
physics and/or electronics
Just physics, sending the signal is physics.
In other news, people stop looking for the plane and start arguing about the signal frequency of black boxes
physics and/or electronics
Physics, electronics, math.
This is superbasic knowledge and honestly I think anyone older than 14 who needs the term "frequency" explained should be ashamed.
This is superbasic knowledge and honestly I think anyone older than 14 who needs the term "frequency" explained should be ashamed.
Fuck off killuah. "Frequency" beyond how frequent something happens, as in often, common, never etc, is not superbasic knowledge, and something that is easily forgotten when you don't work with it.
Fuck off killuah. "Frequency" beyond how frequent something happens, as in often, common, never etc, is not superbasic knowledge, and something that is easily forgotten when you don't work with it.
^ It's attitudes like this that create this need to explain in the first place. It's common knowledge.
how many days left until the signal dies?
^ It's attitudes like this that create this need to explain in the first place. It's common knowledge.
Frequency is not common knowledge. You'd be surprised how many people do not know what it is and how it's measured. Here's an idea: why not just accept the fact that not everyone knows everything and teach them instead of saying that they should be ashamed of themselves?
its a required thing to learn in highschool (in merka, in texas, aka the shittiest education money can buy) in a required physics course but then again it is fp so
Not everyone lives in America. I was only taught about signal/waves in physics at A-level, which is 16-18 here, and also not required.
(its a basic physics concept i was taught in texas, which has an absolutely terrible track record of education, almost being the worst in america, which itself has the worst education of any developed country)
What I was saying was, What's required learning in America? Not so much in other places. It aint about quality of the education, My own one was pretty shit. It's just that each country, each region, has it's own syllabus. Some things are on it, some things aren't.
its a required thing to learn in highschool (in merka, in texas, aka the shittiest education money can buy) in a required physics course but then again it is fp so
I didn't have physics as a required course in high school. I learned about physics either on my own time or in University.
Frequency is not common knowledge. You'd be surprised how many people do not know what it is and how it's measured. Here's an idea: why not just accept the fact that not everyone knows everything and teach them instead of saying that they should be ashamed of themselves?
Because that shame drives and teaches them to do something about it themselves instead of waiting to be told. Everyone should know what a frequency is at least from knowledge about power outlets.
Curiosity drives people to learn, not shame.
Because that shame drives and teaches them to do something about it themselves instead of waiting to be told. Everyone should know what a frequency is at least from knowledge about power outlets.
does shame drive you to post better
physics and/or electronics
Its not really electronics, the frequency and signal propagation is all down to physics.
Because that shame drives and teaches them to do something about it themselves instead of waiting to be told. Everyone should know what a frequency is at least from knowledge about power outlets.
That goes by the same logic that fat shaming will get fat people to work out. It doesn't work for everyone, and I speak from personal experience, I am one who likes to prove everyone wrong so shaming me actually works the way you're describing, but for most people it will just annoy them and they'll give up on it.
Because that shame drives and teaches them to do something about it themselves instead of waiting to be told. Everyone should know what a frequency is at least from knowledge about power outlets.
There are life situations that don't perfectly mirror your's dude. Just because you learned something in high-school and feel that it is basic doesn't mean everyone feels that way, and it doesn't make you any smarter than anyone else either. I'm sure that there are plenty of people here who know things you don't who would feel that you should because it's "common knowledge" Many people, myself included, never made it all the way through high school for one reason or another and it's not because we're lazy or stupid. We don't need some self-proclaimed genius making us feel shitty about the things we don't know. The only thing these posts do is make you look like a huge fucking asshole. For example, I know the BASIC programming language for TRS-80 quite well, and the syntax of it is very simple. If you didn't know how to properly code a sub-routine for a multiple choice menu I wouldn't try to "shame" you into learning how.
This is superbasic knowledge and honestly I think anyone older than 14 who needs the term "frequency" explained should be ashamed.
Didnt really learn much about frequencys in elementary school, and I'm 16. Please stop generalizing.
does shame drive you to post better
Clearly not. [editline]6th April 2014[/editline] Physics was an optional class at my high school. I had other interests, so I pursued those instead. I love to learn new things and this thread has been very informative, there's no need to be an asshole because some people aren't as knowledgeable of certain topics as you are.
Chiming in: I learned about basic telecommunications maths in physics in Standard grade at about 15/16 I hope this is the plane though, really want to know what happened.
