It adds a nice dimension of flavor to the pizza.
My go-to is: pepperoni, chicken, onions, black olives, mushrooms, and pineapple.
I'm pretty much the same, just sans Mushrooms.
And you're right Tornado, my ancestors are Russian and Polish :v: (Plus Czech!)

Putting fruit on a pizza is wrong.

Tomato is a fruit
You put tomato paste onto the base of your pizza
Therefore, all pizzas have fruit on them

Then go away
No one is forcing you to stay here and take a dump on other people's personal preferences.
If you get upset over what someone does or doesn't like to eat, you need to reorganize your life's priorities.

Oh yeah? Well you also smell like a pineapple and your face looks like one too!

Judging other people based on their personal tastes and preferences is wrong.

Intelligence is knowing Tomato is a fruit
Wisdom is knowing not to put a tomato in a fruit salad

Ah but in a culinary sense a tomato is a fruit because it isn't sweet, and what are we talking about here? The culinary arts.
Checkmate bitch.
So many good ideas to slice my pizza. Will try them all the next time.
Ah ah ah. Tomato doesn't have all of the defining features of a fruit, so it's neither a fruit nor a vegetable.

"In botany, a fruit is the seed-bearing structure in angiosperms formed from the ovary after flowering."
Tomatoes are, botanically speaking, fruits. If you want to be super specific, they're berries. A simple fruit created from a single ovary. Pulpy, juicy, rounded, bright colored, no stone/pit.
"The tomato is the edible, often red berry-type fruit of the nightshade Solanum lycopersicum, commonly known as a tomato plant."

WHY HAVE YOU FORSAKEN ME RANGER?
The real blasphemy lies here
Square pizza is simpler to cut into equal slices and doesn't require fancy cutting skills. Please don't confuse this with Chicago style, which is not pizza.
Ideally square, thin and with fresh tomatoes on it.
One advantage of the new technique is that crust is divided unequally, meaning crust haters can choose slices from the centre, while crust lovers can pick slices from the rim.
The crust should be divided equally. Crust haters should be told to leave.
salt
Why ruin good food with salt. No salt lifestyle. Very rarely does my family use salt, and when it is used its moderately and for cooking purposes, never for seasoning.

If you eat square pizza you are a square

Iodine, buddy.
Otherwise it's just a personal preference. Some people like salt, others don't. Obviously people aren't going to completely wash away any other taste with excessive amounts of it. It simply compliments and brings out the taste in a lot of dishes.
