Italy isn't alone. European food is kind of like latin; it's the precursor to the cool languages like french and japanese, but there's a reason it's dead. For example: what in the holy hell is goulash? In america, it's pasta with ground beef. In europe, it's like a spartan black broth concoction of a combination of dead animal carcass and grass.
If that's what you think European food is then I feel sorry for you.
He laid a trap and you all fell for it.
Folding pizza is a violation of the Geneva Conventions though
You will never catch me alive! [editline]10th January 2016[/editline]
chicago style is just a fucked up lasagna
There are people who get into arguments over whether or not Chicago-style pizza is pizza or not. I'll leave that to the philosophers. Me? I'll call it delicious.
i ordered a pizza for dinner last night because of this thread
Culinary it's a vegetable. There's no fucking botanical definition of "vegetable". "Tomato is a fruit" pisses me off to no end. Yes it's a fruit from a botanical standpoint, smartass. So are cucumbers, peppers and eggplants. If you're going to go around calling everything by its botanical group, then please be sure to call carrots tubers and peanuts legumes.
Excuse me sir but I think you'll find carrots are not tubers, but instead 'root vegetables' They are the taproot of the Daucus carota sativus plant. Tubers are accessory root structures used to store nutrients (potatoes, casava, etc) Carrots, and their kin (parsnips, turnips, rutabagas, etc) are not tubers. They do not store anything. They are merely enlarged taproots used to funnel nutrients and water to the leaves to perform photosynthesis. [editline]10th January 2016[/editline] Also I think you'll find there is a botanical definition of the word 'vegetable' It refers to plant matter in its entirety. It also refers to anything which is a member of the Plant kingdom, or originally, the "Vegetable-Kingdom" :smug:
I work at a pizza shop. Please don't encourage this kind of bullshit. People will start asking it to be cut this way. Don't do this to me.
This is dumb, just use the pizza theorm, if sharing with two people, just cut it in any way, 4 slices through the same point (making the traditional 8 pieces), then, just take alternating slices and both people will get exactly the same amount of pizza, no matter where the centre point is :)
I mean damn man I can spread cream cheese on two pieces of lavash, pan-fry that and call it a grilled cheese sandwich but that doesn't make it a grilled cheese sandwich. Even though it's technically made from bread and cheese.
I do that with tortillas and cheez whiz whenever I'm feeling extra trailer park
This is fucking stupid When has dividing a pizza ever been an actual problem
This is fucking stupid When has dividing a pizza ever been an actual problem
When the group of people sharing the pizza is 3
When the group of people sharing the pizza is 3
Cut in to 6 slices? [vid]https://my.mixtape.moe/qbzjiv.webm[/vid]
working in a major pizza store, i can confidently tell you that in no way in hell are we cutting pizzas up in swirves its bad enough i make one piece too big and one piece too small
don't you guys have one of those punching cutters? The swirlies would be just as complex with that.
When the group of people sharing the pizza is 3
quarter it and eat the extra slice while nobody is looking
:snip:
The sensible thing to do is smother your pizza in ranch and eat it whole. mmmmmm

Every day new advancedments are being made in Pizza Science. Though the US used to be the world capital for science and technology, the South Koreans are making groundbreaking research into alternative sources of energy from our pizza. While the United States is definitely leading the world in terms of Engineering jobs in Pizza Science, South Korea is decades (decades!!) ahead of us in Theoretical Pizza. If you're interested in the more mathematical side of things, you can read this article (Might be behind a paywall for some) http://iamkoream.com/the-top-6-korean-pizzas/
The article is of people who saw slicing circles and thought "hey let's make it about slicing pizza" without even reading it I think. [t]http://i.imgur.com/N2gCGJs.png[/t] http://arxiv.org/pdf/1512.03794v1.pdf This is literally the only mention of pizza in the entire thing: [t]http://i.imgur.com/Tcuf8nI.png[/t]

I once put "cut into 6 slices" in special instructions and it was ignored.
5 people. (Also most pizza places pre-cut into 8 slices, even if you ask otherwise. I once put "cut into 6 slices" in special instructions and it was ignored.
I don't think I've ever seen a pizza here get cut in more than 6, usually it's 4.
5 people. (Also most pizza places pre-cut into 8 slices, even if you ask otherwise.
When you're such a small number of people why would you even try to divide pizza. Everybody should get his own pizza.
Yeah that sounds like a great idea. Why split an $11 extra large pizza between three people when we can instead spend $24 on three small $8 pizzas?
I don't think I've ever seen a pizza here get cut in more than 6, usually it's 4.
Non pizza hut pizzas usually are cut: mini/personal: 2 piece cut, results in 4 slices Small/Lunch: 3 piece cut, results in 6 slices Medium: 4 piece cut, 8 slices Large: 6 piece cut, 12 slices Giant/Party: 6 or 8, 12 or 16 slices (Most pizzas this size or 18" or 22"
Except, of course, for the sheet pizza which is widely common in Western NY for no less than $20 with a coupon [thumb]http://i.imgur.com/s0FKQ7p.jpg[/thumb] One I bought some time ago, for scale: http://i.imgur.com/e6TdTnN.jpg It didn't even fit the box and was almost poking out both sides :v:
