That's a terrible name for a product. I hope someone gets iSacked for this.
Fixed.
What the fuck is vegemite
Didn't it only just get announced yesterday...?
It's been around for a while, it was only the name that was announced yesterday.
somebody explain to use what a vegemite is :byodood:
Marmite for the win!
What the fuck is vegemite
You used to be among my top 5 mods...
somebody explain to use what a vegemite is :byodood:
It's a black spread you put on your toast or sandwiches and is made of mostly yeast. Powerful stuff.
-snip-
Vegemite = Yeast extract Marmite = Beef extract
You got your stuff wrong there, bud. Marmite is also yeast extract, but the only diff is it's made by New Zealand, not Aussie.
Just name it Failmite and call it a day.
What does it taste like? Is it actually supposed to taste like beef? Beef soup?
Vegemite = Yeast extract Marmite = Beef extract
They're both yeast extract...
Vegemite is a classic name though, it just sticks in your head, and it suits the product. What the fuck does iSnack have to do with a fucking yeast extract other then being a snack? Fucking stupid.
Oh god, that's what Vegemite is? :ohdear:
Oh god, that's what Vegemite is? :ohdear:
Did you think it was salty chocolate or something? Also, I'm eating a few Vegemite and cheese sandwiches right now. Mmmmmm...
Vegemite must be a food you get an acquired taste for. I had it a few years ago, and it was absolutely disgusting. Bitter and salty.
Also, I'm eating a few Vegemite and cheese sandwiches right now. Mmmmmm...
Don't think I've ever tried yeast extract. If I were to go to the store and buy a container of it, what would I do with it? Do you just spread it plain on bread like peanut butter or are you suppose to add something else? Does it really taste that good?
Wow, this sounds so stupid I initially thought it was fake or some sort of joke. [editline]04:10AM[/editline]
Incoming lawsuit by Apple in 3, 2, 1.
Yes because Apple owns a copyright on all products with an "i" before the name.
I like Miso better, even so it's strong, just don't use too much. Vegemite is terrible, nothing to do with "but you have to be a "real" Australian". No, your a idiot.
Wait what? That horrible tasting vitamin supplement? ewwww....... And it's a shitty name too, sounds like apple bought them out.
Vitamin supplement? What? It's full of vitamin B but I can't imagine anyone have a spoonful at a time Vegemite is a dark brown spread that tastes good on buttered toast. Apparently this new one was introduced to not need butter but who the hell wants their vegemite refrigerated? It's definitely an aquired taste, salty, but for some strange reason a LOT of people like it. I can't stand it on anything other than warm toast though. Well at least it's better than its original name, but it's still pretty bad.
Well, that's... one of the stupidest possible names for a food.
Don't think I've ever tried yeast extract. If I were to go to the store and buy a container of it, what would I do with it? However, don't put on as much as you would peanut butter. It's a strong taste and if you put that much on you'll probably spit it out. Also, I won't sugar coat it for you, the first time you taste it you'll probably be (to put it mildly) surprised. It grows on you, though. A friend of mine who hadn't eaten it until around half way through this has already gotten used to it and likes it. Personally I never used to have anything else with Vegemite, but I've started eating it with cheese (just regular cheese from a shopping centre).
Doesn't the "i" in iProduct mean Inteligent? What makes this condiment spread so inteligent? Anti- Bodies. It's gotta be.
"He just smiled and handed me an iSnack sandwich"
I love you.
The name has nothing to do with the product. Why not the more sensible Vegemite Lite? That's basically what it is.
And Vegemite Lite even sounds somewhat good.
I don't understand, what is vegemite? I mean, I gather it's a spread similar to peanut butter, and it's made with yeast extract, but what does it taste like?

What a fucking stupid name.
Well at least it's better than its original name, but it's still pretty bad.
What. How many foods have the ending "mite" in them? Besides marmite. :ninja:
