Come to think of it, the way that's split exactly down the centre - that's, because there won't be cars driving on the centreline. Could it really have been an actual design consideration? Deliberate?
I was actually just thinking that
God's punishment for the used woman's underwear vending machines.
-snip-
Also, trains and buses are up in Tokyo area, some people are going back home
This really will not end well. Hope Japan can recover from the current shitstorm.

Damn, I've been keeping tabs all day. Glad that so many countries offered help. Now if only the US and the war they are fighting pause for 5 FUCKIN' MINUTES to assist in some way. We all live on the same damn planet, one country gets hurt, we all feel it in the end.
Do you think this will affect Nintendo 3DS sales in japan?
My thoughts and condolences to all of Japan. I'll be closely watching this.
Do you think this will affect Nintendo 3DS sales in japan?
Geez, stop posting.
Do you think this will affect Nintendo 3DS sales in japan?
Funny really, because my mom runs an online shop where she sells purses to Japan Some lady bought a purse and left the comment, "The earthquake was insane" upon purchase :v:

Okay guys, don't worry. The Japanese is the best country in the world when it comes to earthquake preparations. The population is extremely well trained. Video of training. They have those red helmets with them at ALL times in case of an earthquake. Is it over or is it still at 9.0?
Is it over or is it still at 9.0?
9.0 is the height of the tremors, they wouldn't still be going now. [editline]11th March 2011[/editline] Hell, imagine the ground juddering that much for 12 hours.

Anyone have a rough guess on the amount of people dead from both the quakes and the tsunami combined?
Here are the latest earthquakes felt all around the world. http://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/recenteqsww/Quakes/quakes_all.html Seems like theres been something like 40-50 aftershocks in Japan since the big one, and all of them are over 5.0, some getting up to 6.6. Quakes have been felt near Hawaii as well.
Christ, thats terrible. Anyone have a rough guess on the amount of people dead from both the quakes and the tsunami combined?
I would go for thousands.
Yeah, I remember someone posting that already a thousand were confirmed dead.
Probably late, but

Just read on one of the news sites:
The US Geological Survey says this morning's earthquake caused a rupture in the Earth's crust 150 miles long and 50 miles across
apologies if late.
it's on fire right now: [img_thumb]http://img860.imageshack.us/img860/2370/carburn.png[/img_thumb]
Korean cars spontaneously combust en masse.
JUST IN: Izushotou, Yamanashi, Tokyo, Saitama, Shizuoka, Kanagawa, and Chiba prefecture currently experiencing earthquakes The epicenter is actually the southernmost as of now
Just read on one of the news sites: apologies if late.
Possible volcanic activity increase? Though it's all probably underwater. Still, it'll be bad for the ecosystem.
Just read on one of the news sites: apologies if late.
Damn. I'm having a hard time contemplating what that would even look like or what that means for the people near the area.
