We survived a 6.8 right under us, but I'm always worried about.
Even if a wave does hit the coast it will be smaller than what hit Japan. A lot smaller. They said a meter wave might hit New Zealand which is less than their tides. It all depends on where the tides are when it hits.

Also reports of Tsunami Sirens going off on the coast.
If this hit North Korea the country would collapse

Oregon, unless I completely missunderstood, but I'm pretty sure they were talking to a guy in Astoria and another guy in Seaside.
Also, 8 confirmed deaths so far.
Hawaii is already evacuating.

I just got home and saw some footage on the news. Makes me wonder what would of happened in the Queensland floods if the areas were as heavily populated.
Clatsop county activating Emergency Operation center to get ready in case it gets upgraded to a Warning.

I'll be watching the NOAA for US updates. Nothing will hit for a few hours yet so we have time to prepare for anything that will hit. It won't be nearly as bad as the ones we see but I have no idea how large they will be.
I have a brother stationed at Hickam. He's gonna be busy that's for sure.
your saying that like its a bad thing
Reports are saying there are no Radiation leaks, and they are intact, but they are affected by the Tsunami, if I heard right.

its pretty depressing watching a car driving down a road then swept into a building by the water :(
"There are car and semiconductor factories in northern Japan, so there will be some economic impact due to damage to factories," said Yasuo Yamamoto, senior economist at Mizuho Research Institute in Tokyo.
The Semiconductor manufacturer my dad works for is based in Northern japan. :frown:
Edit:
To clarify, the world headquarters is based in Northern Japan, can't remember what city, but the US arm of the company is based in Vancouver, Washington, where my dad works.
This is sad to watch, I really feel bad for these people. :(
this is like a movie
Sirens started 15 minutes ago in Kauai, they are saying it's gonna get hit hard.
Good luck you guys, but I'm going to bed. I hope that things are okay in the morning.
