I fucking hate my government. What the fuck, so you raid this guys house for nothing but to steal his shit?
They didn't take it all because "it belongs in a museum" they took it because half of it is illegal and breaches a lot of treaties.
Dear GOD
There are catfish throughout Europe big enough to grab a person by the leg, drown them, wait for the corpse to get squishy, and then tear the body apart and eat it. The wonders of nature.
Why are you mad at the FBI, someone alerted them to this, and they responded as they must when federal laws are breached. He should have either kept his collection much more private or donated his collection to a museum where he could still be credited. It's not like they raided his house with a SWAT team and held him at gunpoint. They brought tractor-trailers because he had so much shit, stop overreacting. It is impressive that he was able to collect all of this, but it doesn't belong to him. You don't just find an Egyptian sarcophagus lying around, someone hauled it off, illegally, and sold it for profit. If you want to get mad, be mad at whoever squealed on him, not the people whose job it is to enforce the law, the FBI does not have a choice in the matter.
Is this guy a real-life Trazyn the Infinite?

Exactly, if the FBI were going after him, they would have done this years ago. They do own TVs, read newspapers and have children who go to school you know. Someone squealed/filed a complaint and forced their hand.
I fucking hate my government. What the fuck, so you raid this guys house for nothing but to steal his shit?
It appears he has been charged for getting some of his stuff illegally, like you can't just visit a mayan ruin as a tourist (or travelling soldier) and take what you want, there are international treaties for repatriation of art and objects with cultural importance.
All seized? Not much of a free country after all.
I suppose they didn't pay him so it's a free country for some.
For anyone interested this source has some pictures of the inside of his home and the extent of his collection: http://www.indystar.com/story/news/crime/2014/04/02/fbi-seizing-artifacts-rural-indiana-home/7210675/
"Where you are taking my collection?" "Don't worry sir, it's being looked at by top men" "Who??" "Top...men"

Maybe if one feels threatened, but apparently they then just bite without leaving significant injuries.
I don't know why the FBI is so upset; seriously? this dude probably spent his life collecting these things, spending his own time and money for them just so the FBI can collect them all? sounds like this man leads an interesting lifestyle if it brought it him all these artifacts.. This actually pisses me off. [editline]7th April 2014[/editline] Like WOW.. sounds like the FBI's jealous that they don't have any of these things in there collection..
There are catfish throughout Europe big enough to grab a person by the leg, drown them, wait for the corpse to get squishy, and then tear the body apart and eat it. The wonders of nature.
That's a myth. It's not true.
I can understand them being taken away but by dozens of SWAT members? Do they think hes going to pick up that 1876 rifle and have his own "last stand"? A country is absolutely in it's rights to want to get back priceless artifacts some guy stole from them decades ago but as usual, embarassingly overkill methods are used by our police to get them.
A life-size terracotta warrior from China
How on earth do you get one of those legally
Is this guy a real-life Trazyn the Infinite?
Except the Imperium of The United States stole his collection from him and not the other way around, not like that one incident with the company of Space Marines he chucked into one of his dioramas, and traded a hypercube to their commanding officer in return.
How on earth do you get one of those legally
You don't. That's kinda why it was taken away.
That's a myth. It's not true.
Well technically they are big enough to do that. They just don't :v:
What if he has an artifact that makes him immortal?

That's a myth. It's not true.
Yeah. You have to go to India for those. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kali_River_goonch_attacks
