oh america, stay classy and by classy I mean casually racist fuck me I hope the perpetrator's a white US citizen now, just so the american people get to realize that white people can be terrorists too and for the global media to feel all ashamed it covered a terrorist plat where the perpetrator was white
even if it was a white person it's still a terrorist act
even if it was a white person it's still a terrorist act though ^
Aye, and?
well hey at least we're not yet at the point where we're thinking this is an okay thing for them to do
There were some concerned marathoners
Clearly this is part of a huge conspiracy against marathon runners
They should have realised that with the Oklahoma bombing.
I know, but afaik it got fairly little coverage in the global media because it didn't fit the news agenda at the time. Of course since 9/11 and this neocon led buttfucking of the middle east everyone pores over bomb stories and tries to find some connection to muslims or something. [editline]17th April 2013[/editline]
even if it was a white person it's still a terrorist act
That's what I said, but the word 'terrorist' equates to 'muslim' in too many people's minds
Aye, and?
they said they hoped it would be a white person so it "wouldn't be a terrorist act/media would redact "terrorist" claims" edit but now I see what he is actually saying now that he just posted that
No i'm not
Those on the plane are.
Yes, you can blame them. The majority of terror attacks carried out on US soil have been committed by white and Hispanic US citizens, often belonging to right-wing Christian terror groups. Why are they afraid of Arabs again?
It's not just Arabics, it's anyone who could be deemed as an immigrant.
Because only arabic people bomb things.
I never said that.
Yeah, I totally think one of my best friends, who's Arabic, is totally a bomber.
I never said that either. Amazing how my words can be twisted so horribly. Americans always have the same reaction to any terrorist attack regardless if it's domestic or not. They all become paranoid and concerned for their well being. If someone feels threatened for whatever reason because of a recent attack, it's only natural. Do I support their decision to turn the plane around and kick the Arabics off the plane? No. But I understand why they did. The world is full of ignorant people who don't understand anything that the media doesn't tell them. Leaving everyone to be misinformed most of the time, which in turn allows them to make assumptions based off nothing that can be proven as fact. As such, these people only think about the news articles that call this the "Boston 9/11", or "Boston Massacre". When people hear these things, they assume it's the truth, and out of fear act out as such. In this case, these people probably feared that the immigrants on the plane were a threat because when they hear terrorism they go back a decade and think of 9/11. Again, I don't support their actions. But I don't blame them either.
Can't blame them. The recent bombing is making all Americans paranoid. Rate me dumb all you want. You're all thinking it.
Imo when i heard of the bombing i immediately thought of a white domestic terrorist
they said they hoped it would be a white person so it "wouldn't be a terrorist act/media would redact "terrorist" claims"
Huh. Who said that? Whoever said that is a retard. If they're associating the word 'terrorist' with a certain race, they're scum. Just like those passengers who complained.
Can't blame them. The recent bombing is making all Americans paranoid. Rate me dumb all you want. You're all thinking it.
No, americans have always been paranoid and collectively insecure for no good reason, anytime something like this happens it just brings that aspect to the fore
This happens all the time. If the passengers dont feel safe, they'll remove the problem. Its ultimately up to the pilots to make the call. They dont fly worried. Not a big deal.
Its called American airlines for a reason god bless
Yes, you can blame them. Why are they afraid of Arabs again?
Because a couple of muslims(out of billions) decide to do 9/11 and now everybody thinks muslims are evil. Funny how most of the hijackers were from saudi arabia yet the us invaded iraq instead.
A black guy robbed a bank, ban all blacks from banks. that's your logic, you islamophobic ignorant little boy
Again, you twist my words into something I never said or implied. Americans are paranoid. That is all I said.

We're saying we understand it, AND that it's shameful, disgusting, racist as fuck, and retarded.
My god, this made me shout in pure rage. The ignorance. It burns.
I think we all understand why they kicked those men of the plane, it's not something you need to explain.
Again, you twist my words into something I never said or implied. Americans are paranoid. That is all I said.
im american and i'm not paranoid. Most aint neither except a handful of retards. You're ignorant for assuming all americans are scared of brown people.
im american and i'm not paranoid. Most aint neither except a handful of retards. You're ignorant for assuming all americans are scared of brown people.
I'm sorry, I didn't realize that I ever specified any color for any person ever. But clearly I must have since you are so content with saying that I have... I will admit that perhaps I was generalizing too much, but I'm not wrong to say that there are those who are paranoid out there.
Can't blame them. The recent bombing is making all Americans paranoid. Rate me dumb all you want. You're all thinking it.
No, I'm not thinking that at all. I'm thinking how disgusting it is if it turns out that they really had no reason to remove the men from the plane other than the fact they were speaking Arabic. You can't possibly justify this unless it turns out they were removed for actually being suspects for something. Edit: Oh wait, I missed the part in the article where it said they were removed because some marathoners were concerned. Yeah, this is complete bullshit then and there's no justification for it.
im american and i'm not paranoid. Most aint neither except a handful of retards. You're ignorant for assuming all americans are scared of brown people.
We aren't saying all americans are paranoid, just that the general climate and attitude there, at least from our perspective is something of insecurity, that the american way of life is 'constantly under attack and as our culture is empirically superior to all we should impose it on those we think could threaten us' You're not all like that, but that seems to be your country as a whole's agenda
Had an experience like this while flying from France to the US on an Air France operated plane. I travel(led) a lot. Guy sitting next to me was from Afghanistan, originally. US citizen, stout muslim, very proud of his beliefs. This was pre 9/11, that changed, sadly. We struck up a conversation after the plane took off and introduced ourselves to eachother and started speaking about our origins. He spoke Pashto and Arabic and taught me a couple of useful phrases, but while we were in the middle of this language lesson another passenger walks by and notices my friend. Now to give you an idea, Mohammad, my friend, is 6ft 2, weighs a ton and has a black beard, wears large, black framed glasses and wears a small headcover. He looks proper radical, but is far from it. This passenger gives Mohammad a really dirty, noticeable look and proceeds to his seat. We thought that was the last of it. Hours pass and we are closing on our destination, Dulles Intl D.C. An hour before landing, Mohammad lets me know he needs to go to the 'facilities' and I stand up to give him room as I'm sitting by the aisle and he's riding the window seat. As he steps into the aisle and straightens himself out after being crumpled into the seat for so long, the asshole we saw earlier comes up from behind him and tackles him. Tackles him. In an aircraft. Mohammad is on the ground making no resistance, shaken up and surprised. The flight crew rushes to get the guy off of him, along with an off duty police officer. As he was being dragged into the rear of the aircraft, the guy screamed with all his might that me and Mohammad were planning to blow up the plane when it comes in for landing. After a landing that occurred without incident the man was detained and Mohammad and I were free to continue our journey.
I just hope the airlines get sued the racism out of it.
One of my good friends is a Sikh, he says it makes going through airport security hell, even though he's not Arabic. [img_thumb]http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/f/f9/Sikh_wearing_turban.jpg[/img_thumb] Pic related, it's what he and most sikhs tend to look like. They're obligated to wear turbans.
oh america, stay classy and by classy I mean casually racist
One airport now represents the entirety of america and it's citizens. You heard it here first folks.
Profiling at its finest. Disgusting.
Profiling gets shit done though. If Arabic terrorists are blowing shit up. Would it not be beneficial to look toward all people who look Arabic and not the white granny? Yea it looks bad but its gonna work better than not doing it.

Singling out people based upon their ethnicity is completely wrong and violates their rights. Water boarding may be effective, but it's not even fucking close to right.
This happens all the time. If the passengers dont feel safe, they'll remove the problem. Its ultimately up to the pilots to make the call. They dont fly worried. Not a big deal.
Recognizing someone as a threat because they're speaking a different language and have a different skin colour? I'd say its a pretty fucking big deal. If I was the pilot and someone came to me claiming that passengers were worried because there were people on the plane who weren't speaking English, I'd tell them to calm the fuck down.
