Looking at the current state of political discourse in the US, it's very hard for me to say that Obama was a very divisive President. Unless you consider the current state of affairs as his doing, but that seems a little naive imo

In Israel there's this mentality that Obama hates us simply because he wasn't willing to take the shit Israel throws at him and at others like previous presidents did. That coupled with the right-wing of the country slowly becoming more and more extreme made some people very optimistic for Trump.

A majority of swedes, including myself, believe that Obama was the best president you guys have had in years. I mean, he wasn't perfect considering the increase in drone strikes etc. but at least he felt like he genuienly cared about both the US and the overall impact of the country globally.
