Not to say that uninstallers on Windows are without flaws. (Myth II, I'm looking at you.)
Do macs seriously not support uninstallers that remove more than just the core program files?
They, do but it's up to the app developer to create them. Stuff like adobe Creative Suite come with uninstallers on the disk, because they have massive amounts of files spread across the OS. You'll find with small apps you just get the .app in the applications folder and then a small folder in the app support folder (sometimes not even that). There are little programs you can get like AppCleaner that search automatically for all of the files and then dumb them in the trash.
