To be fair, if it was just the hot sauce, then it actually isn't that bad, assuming that it isn't the ridiculously hot stuff that actually causes pain. The shower, though... that's too damn far. Slap the bitch for every drop of water on that poor kid. And if she wasn't so damn strict about the hot sauce, I can see a decent parent actually using the method. It's a much tastier alternative to beatings, at least. And beatings taste of cabbage and depression.
yeah hot sauce isn't that bad but god damn cold shower. It hurts, and I always accidentally turn on cold shower when I shower Dx
Know what else is common Angry kids that rebel against every form of authority (even the just ones) because their foremost authority figures failed them this is going to go on the back cover of the child psychology book I'll never write
I know I'm the minority here, but I for one, don't believe you know much about child psychology, I don't either. But I don't think spanking a really young child for doing something bad is going to turn them into rebellious scum. I can vouch for that personally.

I don't care if African children could have used the spare water, I don't like catching hypothermia when I try to clean myself. Edited again: Oh damn, double post! Edited yet again: And now no double post!
I hope this bitch gets some sort of life sentence. Child abuse is one of the most horrible things a person could do.
This is why I use a bath instead. I don't care if African children could have used the spare water, I don't like catching hypothermia when I try to clean myself.
That's cool and all but it's extremely easy to check the temperature of the water before you go in the shower.
Oh boo hoo. A cold shower and eating hot sauce? A much better punishment than getting smacked with a belt or a cane. And that was encouraged in schools for years.
You must have been treated poorly as a kid, my mom wouldn't dare slap me for being a jackass.
My mom and dad couldn't ever force me to do cold showers in Texas. mainly because our cold water was the same temperature as our hot water :v:
You can't get anything below lukewarm in Tulsa during summer.
That's cool and all but it's extremely easy to check the temperature of the water before you go in the shower.
sometimes im in a hurry and do that. But id rather have cold water than fire water.
sometimes im in a hurry and do that. But id rather have cold water than fire water.
I'd rather have fire water. Reminds me a' 'Nam!
I'd be like the best punishment ever...
You would BE the punishment????
You would BE the punishment????
Perhaps it's some brutal doctrine forced into him by his abusive parents. "Stop hitting yourself! Stop hitting yourself!"
Anybody else thought based on the title that this was about some lady who used hot sauce as a treatment for her pores or something
Anybody else thought based on the title that this was about some lady who used hot sauce as a treatment for her pores or something
I did. But the truth was much, much worse.
I'm actually going to agree with him. Unless the parent was using the hottest of the hot sauces, then I'd definitely rather take cold showers and eat hot sauce as opposed to being beaten. (Not agreeing with the beating during school part, though. That's a bit out of date, I'd think) And beatings happen so fucking often yet you rarely hear about those, the only reason this is getting coverage is because it's unique.
Yes, you would, so would I, but.. He's a little kid, its just as bad for him. Beatings are just as bad too, but, still.
The Russians are getting pissed.
Allright? When I was his age my mom took a belt and beat my ass you guys are a bunch of pussies.
Allright? When I was his age my mom took a belt and beat my ass you guys are a bunch of pussies.
Those beatings really worked wonders for your character, didn't they?
its more than just physical harm, that sort of thing can fuck up your mind, especially as a child.
Misleading title. "So the mother put a couple hot sauce drops on the kid's tongue, big fucking deal, I had that too." >read slightly "Ah, she was excessive with the hot sauce. I can kind of see a couple years of jail time for that, that shit burns in exces--" >cold showers, living in a dresser Remove her right to be around kids. Take these kids to a foster home (or something), then sew her vagina shut so she can't spawn more kids to abuse. Additionally, don't allow her to get a job as a teacher, nanny, daycare worker, or maternity ward person. Or really anything involving high concentrations of kids.
Oh boo hoo. A cold shower and eating hot sauce? A much better punishment than getting smacked with a belt or a cane. And that was encouraged in schools for years.
This. Maybe really hot sauce is crossing the line (certainly not watery Tabasco), but a cold shower is considered abuse? Seriously? I spent three years in a country where heating water was difficult enough that all my showers were cold showers. I was eight. What does that constitute, horrific torture?
I spent three years in a country where heating water was difficult enough that all my showers were cold showers. I was eight. Some kids don't have tolerance for spicy things or really cold showers. The two are simply not comparable.
Better to beat the kid's ass than to let him end up like those faggots on Jersey Shore. Sure he may emerge as a pussy when he grows up, but hey, better than letting him run wild.
Better to beat the kid's ass than to let him end up like those faggots on Jersey Shore. Sure he may emerge as a pussy when he grows up, but hey, better than letting him run wild.
What, are you insane? "Letting him run wild"? These are people, not animals or pets. Although I probably shouldn't be surprised when the crux of your point is "so he doesn't turn out like those faggots on jersey shore".
Better to beat the kid's ass than to let him end up like those faggots on Jersey Shore.
In that situation it wasn't forced on you, it was something out of your control. Some kids don't have tolerance for spicy things or really cold showers. FUCK. Children acting like children. Also why would he get a card home for wriggling in his seat. In my school if you did that, the worst you would get was a detention.
Uh, what? Of course it was forced on me, precisely because it was out of my control. How else can something be forced?
The mother in this case forced the child to stay in a cold shower. It's not as if he had no choice but to take a cold shower.
The mother in this case forced the child to stay in a cold shower. It's not as if he had no choice but to take a cold shower.
Still. Ever jump into a cold pool? Same deal, it's hardly punishment. If your kid can't deal with a bit of cold water, he needs to get over it. What's next, sitting in a corner is too abusive because it forces them into a claustrophobic environment?
Still. Ever jump into a cold pool?
Ever fully comprehend a news article? The kid was forced into a cold shower.
