I'm not saying all of you people who got spanked as children grew up as bullies or have no morality, but we've really moved into a time where we know enough so that spanking your children to have them behave isn't neccessary.

It's all about our mordern society's progression in psychology, which is being taken much more into focus and advanced upon. This is partially why I'm going to study psychology, I believe it's going to be more and more vital in the future.
Saw this on Dr. Phil a few days ago, it was absolutely sickening.
I guess the boy's teacher feels horrible after seeing this, because he/she would've "caused" this (of course the teacher didn't)

Sadly, the things that qualify as "hitting" a kid don't include things like spankings, and often times kids don't report abuse.
i use to get a taste of hot sauce when i did something bad when i was a kid.
I used to get punished for having trouble sleeping, loud coughing, and waking up in the middle of the night. Then I finally had an allergy test and it turned out I was allergic to my pillows, pillow cases, bed sheets, the laundry detergent that my clothes were cleaned with, and a few other things. I don't blame them, though.
This woman isn't punishing her child, she seems to get some kind of sick pleasure out of it.
While I wouldn't say that this is major abuse ( it still is abuse, but Not long-term abuse.) , it still isn't welcome as a punishment. It shouldn't be used at all, If she had instead just given him say a time-out or something that would have been more suited.
Or maybe I'm too used to more traditional punishments, Like grounding or Caning.
Hot sauce, pretty bad. The kid was crying and obviously traumatized, but then the kid got into the shower and he basically lost it and started crying and screaming. Seriously lady, the fuck? I'm more pissed off about the fact that he didn't do anything overly bad, that she flipped her shit for nothing.
The woman punished him for almost nothing, but at least the kid didn't get beat up / spanked with a belt.

All though her methods are strange, it would seem that she didn't want to spank her child, which makes me question how this is even child abuse. I mean if were calling that child abuse, then I guess my parents should of been thrown in jail because I got paddled and spanked through my childhood. I turned out to be fine, actually I thank my parents for getting me in line at a early age.

It's more that she did it for a very minor misbehavior, for the purpose of getting to be on TV.
