Cut ARMY funding, not the whole military in general. The Marine Corps is still using canteens from the 60's for christ sake!

Just merge the Marines with the Navy again and the Airforce back to the Army.

Freeze-dried ice cream anyone?
For some reason I find the thought hilarious, when you're an astronaut in space and all of your meals there have more astronauts plastered on them.
I wonder if you could clobber someone with one of them heat tiles though. Not sure how big they are.
Reading this makes me sad. :(

I hear the astronaut food, actually tastes good..
I'd vote, in a heartbeat, for the president that promised a higher budget for NASA.

Well I haven't tried any astronaut food yet but, if I get the chance, I'll try the Astronaut Ice Cream.
Dehydrated ice cream is delicious. You might even say it's out of this world.

It is quite good, But how come no one has made Peanut-Butter flavored ice-cream?
i want some good stuff for discount, so i can sell it for double to SpaceX (or donate if i feel generous) and get that thing fly to orbit and be used :)
Id buy a tile, that'd make the coolest coaster ever.
"Yeah, that thing your drink is sitting on, WAS IN SPACE"
guess you missed that part
Eat them anyway
NASA can't tell me what to do
The tiles are a hot item.
no shit
Cut military funding, increase NASA funding, etc.
Good luck with that.
And this is why we wont even get to the moon again :smith:
"not for consumption"
You can't tell me what i can and i can't do, NASA.
guess you missed that part
No he probably didn't.
That's just so they've got their arse covered.
You could eat one of those things and chances are you wouldn't have any issue at all. Some of that stuff lasts for years.
Thread title is extremely misleading. NASA is giving away Shuttle stuff for educational purposes and only charging schools for shipping and handling. They aren't desperately trying to raise money by selling all their shit.
I'd love a tile, too bad thay're probably not for for sale internationally.
If I had alot of monies and lived in the USA, I'd buy all of their Astro-Food.
And eat them.
how big are these heat tiles? I have an idea for them

They're only available to schools. and I think theres about 30,000 of them on 1 shuttle.
