I'm a little bit jealous of this kid.
He gets to spend his whole life doing "his" thing without having to worry about mundane bullshit.
Okay I'll call you a famed musician now, because if that pisses you off you've been bullied by people misusing it.
No, I just said there's no point in calling him retarded.
There's no point in using a word to describe something that is the definition of said word?
:what:

Lol.
So you've given up on life and now you'll take part in mundane bullshit?
That has no relevance to anything.
I thought that maybe the reason you put words others mouths and then bitch about it is that you're one of them Minecraft players.
That has no relevance to anything.
Oh okay i got it.
You're just dumb.

Lol okay there's seems to have been a leak in the understanding compartment from my cranial lodge.
Lol.

Can you speak in proper sentences, please. I can't understand shit of what you're trying to say.
what the hell are we talking about
whether or not you people have autism is not a thing(the answer is probably yes)
it is this kid
he is the star
I thought that maybe the reason you put words others mouths and then bitch about it is that you're one of them Minecraft players.
No I just honestly thought the dude was branding the kid as nothing more than some piece of non-functioning organic hardware. I don't know where I was at.
wiping that window would probably feel like crunching numbers
University at 8 did I read or something?
The fuck man
I know what his favorite videogame is
Tetris?
Tetris?
Starcraft 2.
When I think about, that would be pretty badass.
Tetris?
It's obviously call of duty. :downs:
This kid is going to be very successful in life.
Mind blown. I have trouble with basic arithmetic and this 12-year-old just explained higher level calculus. Seriously, this kid has a future so bright his shades are fucking melting.

"Aha, beat you in 3.25 seconds. Decent but not nearly adequate enough."
I honestly kind of feel bad for the kid. He's already in college, he'll spend his teen years and beyond developing his theories.
He'll likely never have a full, pleasing life.
What you just described is most likely a full and pleasing life to him. Who knows what great feats he could go on to accomplish.

he's not korean, he's autistic
besides we don't know how good he is at things that aren't math, physics, nor do we know his reflexes and WPM
Or maybe there's just so many times you can tell a joke the same way before people don't think it's funny anymore.
Naw, the black jokes never get unfunny.

Oh wait...
I dislike the whole IQ gambit, mensa, etc.
Artists are intelligent in their own right, as are Mathematicians, yet under the banner of IQ, one may 'rank' significantly lower than the other. The only use I've seen of IQ is to dictate that someone is 'a lolgenius' to the mass media, and to provide food for people to boast about their 'superior intellect' due to having a higher IQ.
I think the real intelligent people are ones whom have control of their own minds, are willing to look deeper than face value at the wonders that this universe holds and enjoys thought, no matter how zany or creative, or logical, or theoretical.
People who boast about their intellect are clearly not intelligent, or they'd be spending more time thinking, and less time wasting the valuable and precious little time we have here on earth, before we are subject to eternal darkness, arguing about trivial bullshit.
This post it beautiful. :3:
Don't IQ tests only show your ability to take tests?
The test results are very dependent on circumstance, the lighting in the room, the time of day, the noise level all can effect the score you end up getting. You could have a bad day and end up scoring considerably less than on another day. I've taken two IQ tests (given by different professionals), and scored considerably different scores on both. (Both high scores, but different)

No, think about it, if Minecraft is for autistic people because they like stacking blocks, then Tetris must be the ultimate autistic game. It's gameplay consists of nothing but stacking blocks in repetitive manner for no other reason than to increase a number.
I've been reading a bunch of stories about him and a lot of them have been silly and sensationalist. When the kid is talking about things the reporter doesn't understand they seem to just go "OKAY KID'S A GENIUS" and throw up their hands and don't try to verify his claims. You can see it in this article when they claim his IQ is higher than Einstein's. As far as I'm aware Einstein never took an IQ test, and if he did we may not know his score regardless.
Assuredly, the kid's brilliant if he's learning calculus at 12, but for instance what they reported of that e-mail from Tremaine seemed a lot more like a "Hey, that's great kid. Keep it up," than official peer review of his theory. He's promising, obviously, but I'm skeptical.
-snip- God damnit JohnnyMo1. :ninja:'d by a moderator which i was responding too
I understand that you may not be bashing the kid but look at it this way, it's a twelve year old that is a complete savant in math.

Assuredly, the kid's brilliant if he's learning calculus at 12
And then comes puberty and takes it all.
What a pompous ass hole.
What a pompous ass hole.
He is 12.
No matter how much you study maths you will never be half as good as he is at it.
