My brain is full of fuck...
I agree, especially in the case of maths. Trying to brute force knowledge onto people just doesn't work unless the person was good at maths in the first place.
Studies show people learn more when something is fun. Sadly schools will probably never get this.
i haven't even learn this stuff yet and i'm 14
i haven't even learn this stuff yet and i'm 14
You only learn that kinda stuff in grade 12 advanced calculus classes
His parents were worried when he didn't talk until the age of two, suspecting he was educationally abnormal.
Well, looks like I'm "educationally abnormal" too then, I didn't talk until the age of three
i started heavy reading when i was four take that autistic cocks
We need more kids like him.
:silent: Me, being 17, still struggling with calculus while a 12 year old kid has already learned all this when he was 7, and now he's about to make a new relativity theory. I feel so dumb for some reason.
I can still punch him, right?
It's funny how you hear about these kids once, and then never again. I remember there was another one allegedly like him about a year ago. Fucking tabloids. [editline]27th March 2011[/editline] Oh yeah. When a 12 year old actually wins a Nobel prize, tell me about it.
Is it more or is every kid who is a "genius" look, talk, and act like they KNOW everything, like pretentiously and condescendingly. Just the way this kid talks makes me want to punch him in the face.
psst. Guys what is he talking about in the video?

i like his cap
Beautiful mind all up in this bitch
That is the lame way of doing things and a terrible idea if you ever want to create an original thought. A clear picture of what an integral is, what the integral or derivative of a certain function would look like, and what its physical significance is is invaluable for someone doing research at the forefronts of mathematical science.
Besides that, most calculus in advanced modern science is not even solvable by programs. I'm all for Mathematica and MatLab but it just sucks in the really interesting things. [editline]27th March 2011[/editline]
psst. Guys what is he talking about in the video?
A very weird, non scientific and complicated approach to partial integration
It took me a year in class to learn this stuff and he self-taught it in a week? Pretty damn good.
And it hasn't gone un-noticed by Jake, who added: 'Whenever I try talking about math with anyone in my family they just stare blankly.'
I know how he feels :smith:.

I just totally realized that John Nash is still alive.
And crazy as ever!
I was really pissed off. We watched like the first quarter of A Beautiful Mind in psychology class in highschool after finals, and the fucking teacher flat out ruined the damn movie by giving away the fact that[sp] he's a paranoid schizophrenic and everything that's all cool and actiony and shit is all in his head.[/sp]
Can he tie his shoes though? (Einstein reference)
Does he play minecraft? Oh boy, look at all those boxes rolling in. We can see where people take shit way to seriously.
It's not that they take it seriously, they're just extremely fucking jealous of how god damn funny you are. I can't believe how amazing your sense of humour is, now I'm jealous too.
he should take a note from limitless and start studying investing
its times like this that I hate the way our society works. A kid who has his own theory of relativity at the age of 12 obviously should be passing on his genes, autistic or not, but it will probably be very hard for him when he gets older.
-snap-
That's awesome, as much as it puts me to shame, life is not solely based on achievements. I hope he goes far in life, this was an uplifting read. Child prodigies throughout history have always fascinated me.
Incredible, I can see this kid working at Cambridge one day. However, it disgusts me that the media has to make a big deal out of it. Kids and Adults with Autism or Asperger's Syndrome deserve to use their intelligence in privacy so they can actually enjoy what their doing without interruption or unwanted attention.
All I can say is, good for him. He gives kids with autism a good name.
Reminds me of The Big Bang Theory for some reason
Someone should castrate that little arrogant cunt. And IQ is age-relative, so his IQ is probably like 100 in an adult.
