Then why haven't we started?

uh, you're part of that zombiefreak
[editline]09:26AM[/editline]
oh no, attempts at peace and a relatively stable economy
you REALLY think Carter was REMOTELY near Bush? sweet jesus
Carter did so much, and he got bashed for it because he basically told America, "You're a greedy little bitch that needs to learn to grow the fuck up, or you'll screw everyone over."
Has anyone also noticed that Presidents who are generally popular with the rest of the world, aren't very popular with us? And vice versa?

Those presidents are shitty like Obama is, they want the world to like them and only care about their appearance rather than actually being the president of a country. I remember when our presidents actually liked our country and was proud of it.

When was that.
Ah shit I thought we were above this.

wat
Well there's a lot of ignorant folks in the US, and if there was a party that branched to far to the left, they'd be accused of being socialists and then probably demonized by the tea party, and if a party leaned too far to the right, they'd be accused of being fascists or extreme conservatives, regardless of how true it might be.
this is why we need a true libertarian party that would work more for individual rights than corporate rights but still not try to overly limit businesses (well at least the non mega corporations who no longer provide enough jobs for Americans)
It's impossible to be taken seriously as a libertarian now that all these border-line anarchist Truther idiots are the most vocal supporters.

Wait, isn't that NOT Libertarianism

The Crisis of Confidence speech was fucking amazing

I noticed that, I don't know anyone in Ireland that likes Reagan.

It's possible to be proud of America and, at the same time, realize that it can't just do whatever the fuck it wants.
yes, how dare we tax those people more who have five houses and fifteen cars
Because they've earned them, like it or not.
When was that.
I believe back when this country was founded...
Because they've earned them, like it or not.

No, no, no. Wealth is exponential. The poor get poorer, the rich get richer. A 10% tax on someone who makes $15000 a year is astronomically harder on that person than it is on someone who makes $500000 a year. By placing a higher tax on the upperclass incomes, a government earns more return, while leaving room for growth in the lower classes. Go learn to economics.

This is true, it's about time people realize that you don't have to be a conservative to be patriotic. Lefties have their own brand of patriotism too that doesn't have to be all in your face or arrogant like the republican kind.

Not all of them do, even then, did the working class not earn social programmes?
